In a quiet area of North Holland lies the Westerkogge Park, in the village of Berkhout, just a stone's throw from Horn. It is surrounded by canals that connect to the open water where you can throw out your fishing rod or go boating or canoeing (up to 70 km of boating).The landscape of this beautiful park is characterized by old trees and large hedges. A more varied landscape is hard to imagine: windmills, tulip fields, engineering works and ditches and canals which bind the country together. Looking for the chance to enjoy an active holiday? No problem as the holiday park is just 5 km from the IJsselmeer (lake) where you can go surfing and sailing. The picturesque village of Berkeley is only 20 minutes away from major cities like Amsterdam and Haarlem.Park facilities are extensive: a grand café and snack bar, laundromat, Internet access, a heated outdoor pool with children’s pool (open during the summer), sports ground and playing fields, a playground with play equipment and electric scooter, whisper boat and canoe rental.At the rear of the park there is an area reserved for more of these chalets, some by the water. It has a lovely seating corner with enough comfortable spaces for the whole group and a large flat screen TV. Great if you want to enjoy a nice movie or game together during the colder evenings. The living room with lots of natural light also has a modern comfortable dining corner which offers space to 6 people. This makes it the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or a nice home-cooked dinner together. The luxury holiday home also has a completely equipped kitchen with, among other things, a fridge, freezer, gas stove, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, Senseo, combination microwave, oven and dishwasher. When you continue to the three bedrooms you will notice that the beds will have already been made for your convenience. You won't have to pay any attention to this when you arrive and can immediately start enjoying your holiday. Two of the three bedrooms have two single box spring beds and one bedroom has a bunk bed. Finally, the holiday home also has a spacious bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Large glass doors lead you from the living room into the spacious garden which has all conveniences: comfortable terrace furniture, a large beach umbrella and a beautiful landscaped terrace. The garden has amazing views over the water and fields. This luxury holiday home is non-smoking, has wifi access and of course you can park your car for free at the accommodation. This area is quite diverse, with colorful tulip fields, windmills and an agricultural landscape. The holiday park makes a good starting point for a number of excursions and attractions including an indoor water park in Hoorn; the ''Zaanse Schans'' in Zaandam, a steam train from Horn to Medemblik; the Zuiderzee Museum and Sprookjeswonderland in Enkhuizen; a lake with a surf beach (5 km); the cheese market in Alkmaar; the North Sea coast and towns like Bergen, Egmond and Schoorl (30 km). Even the heart of Amsterdam is just 45 minutes away. From 1 January 2019 business bookings are not allowed.- There is a pin machine at the reception. It is possible to pay with a credit card. - Tickets of € 100.00, € 200.00 and € 500.00 are not accepted at the park.- We request that you state your reservation number in any correspondence.- The deposit must be paid on arrival by direct debit only.- There is no bed linen for the present child's bed. We request that you bring this yourself.- Bed linen is mandatory to rent, bed making service is included.- For a stay longer than one week, 3 Euro waste contribution must be paid locally for the extra period per week or part thereof.- We cannot take any responsibility for lost property, damage to property or personal injury sustained during your stay in the park.- Pets are welcome, but on request because not all accommodations are suitable for pets.
