The Stable in Porterville

This renovated cottage was once used as stabling for oxen & horses in the early 1900's on the edge of town, just a stone's throw away from local farmlands. Owned by Dean and Phil. It is 145 square meter, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom (shower and toilet) cottage that comfortably sleeps up to 6 people. Offering a quiet location, still very near the centre of town with free wifi. The Stable is at the edge of Porterville but within walking distance of many things to do. Golf, Squash, Museum (very small but cute), shops, ATMs, 3 places to eat out, Flyers Lodge for paragliders, the tourism office are all within 2-5 minutes walk. By car there are more attractions within 10-40 minutes drive including 22 Waterfalls, Indie Ale Brewery, Protea farms, Olive Farms, Micro Herb gardeners and more. If you prefer the peace and quiet, then simply staying in and enjoying the beautiful stars and quiet nights. Guests have full access to the whole guest cottage. We have fallen in love with Porterville, and are more than happy to share all our knowledge of the area with guests in order help tailor any visit to The Stable into the perfect getaway. The Stable is located at the top end of Porterville, a few steps away from the farmer's fields and with views of the magnificent Olifants River Mountains. Guests can relax away from a big city, but also enjoy the small town atmosphere and events within minutes drive, if desired. The town is small so walking and cycling are an easy alternative to driving. There is no public transport available in town.
