Relax and enjoy the fresh air and tranquil environment of the lovely rural setting Berrys Creek offers. We are located in a beautiful property in the countryside with rolling greenery. Here, you can spend quality time away from the hustle of the city surrounded by nature and leave relaxed and ready to tackle the week ahead. We have animals in the property such as alpacas, horses, ponies, chickens, cat and small dogs. Guests can pat our animals and observe wildlife as there are many on the property. You can spot kookaburras, ducks, parrots, rosellas and many other bird life on the dam. We are also surrounded by farmland with dairy cows. Our tiny house is eco-friendly and solar powered. It offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette and an indoor pot bellied stove / fireplace to keep you warm during winters. There is a queen sized bed up in the loft and a couch on the ground floor. It sleeps 2 people comfortably. Cooking your meals in the house is easy and convenient as our kitchenette includes cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes and silverware, a portable gas cooker and a portable cooler fridge. Everything you need! Our bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia's severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, we help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. Wastes are broken down in the compost toilet via an aerobic decomposition process. It is a waterless system (no need to flush!), whereas a standard dual flush toilet would use up to 350L of water per week. An aeration fan helps in the decomposition process and minimises odours. If you're using your own soap, shampoo, tooth paste, we ask that you bring biodegradable ones so that the grey water runoff does not harm the environment. Thank you! As our tiny house runs on solar, you can charge small electronic devices like your handphone, but it’s best to conserve power as much as possible as the battery storage is limited. You won’t want to run out of power at night! Guests will have access to all places except the main house. Kindly shut the gates behind you as our livestock will happily wander out. Guests will enjoy your own private space but we are always happy to chat with you. Rich in history, avenue of honor. Remembrance of past and present (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) war. All while 30 minutes to the beach or bush walkings. Nearest City: Melbourne (1 hr 50 mins driving time) Nearest Town: Leongatha (15 mins driving time) By Public Transport: There is a V-Line bus to Leongatha. We can pick up or drop off by prior arrangement. - No wifi - We are situated in the countryside and you may encounter insects such as spiders throughout your stay as these are part of the natural ecosystem of the bush - Telstra reception is good but limited connection for Optus/Vodaphone
