Shepherd’s Hut “Bluebell”

Bluebell is nestled in its own private garden overlooking the sea and stunning Rhinog Mountains. Picturesque hiking trails are on your doorstep with Harlech beach, town and castle a short walk away. The area has plenty on offer; scenic steam railways, the unique village of Portmeirion, sandy beaches, the excitement of Zipworld, numerous castles and Mount Snowdon (to name a few!) are just a car ride away. If you prefer not to venture out, you can now enjoy a game on our brand new pétanque pitch! The Hut has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Private parking and entrance leads to your accommodation, patio and garden. The hut has a kingsize bed, armchairs and kitchenette, door leads to toilet and shower. The woodburning stove makes the place toasty on cooler evenings. We live in the house nearby and are mostly around - if not in person we are available via phone. Please feel free to message us with any questions or issues. We are at the end of a private drive surrounded by fields, on the way down you may see our neighbours - horses, cows and sheep :-) Harlech our nearest town has some free street parking and two pay and display car parks - one serving the castle. The nearest train station is Pensarn just under 2 miles away - services run to Pwllheli or Tywen - either way a beautiful coastal journey if you fancy a break from driving. There is a Tassimo coffee maker in the hut - we provide a selection of pods but you may wish to bring your own favourites! A slow cooker is also available - please request at time of booking (limited space means it’s not kept in the hut!). We provide firelighters and logs for both fires on your first night, after this logs are available from the local Premier Store in Harlech.
