Delightful Caravan with Superb Views and a Hot Tub

The caravan is set in its own fenced garden in the grounds of Rodda’s Meadow, just outside the village of Gunnislake on the Cornwall/Devon border and only a short drive from the lovely town of Tavistock. Gunnislake is situated in the Tamar Valley which is an Area of Outstanding natural beauty as well as being a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its rich history. We are therefore perfectly placed to explore the Tamar valley aswell as the rest of Cornwall and nearby Dartmoor. The Caravan has its own decking with table and chairs, two sun loungers and barbecue. It also has outstanding views over patchwork farmland and the horses in their paddock at the bottom of your garden. The decking gets the sun all afternoon and evening and you will be able to enjoy great sunsets and star gazing in the ‘dark sky’ area. Guests have use of a large fenced garden , with plenty of grass to play on and a large pond, with a waterfall which is stocked with Coy Carp. The pond is fenced off. Guests have exclusive use of a Swedish wood fired hot tub, with room for 5 to 7 people . The hot tub is located just below the decked area (with steps down to it), offering superb views of the surrounding country side and of the stars at night in this dark sky area. The hot tub also has underwater lighting, bubbles and a lid to keep it warm and safe for children when not in use. Guests can heat up the hot tub to their required temperature via its built in log fire, which keeps it warm all evening. FREE Logs are provided for the duration of your stay. Inside the caravan has two bedrooms, a shower room and an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The first bedroom has a double bed and door to the Jack and Gill shower room. The second bedroom has two small single beds (suitable for children). In the lounge there is a pull out sofa bed that is suitable for two children or one adult. The caravan has a full size oven and hob, plus a microwave, plus has a fridge and separate full size freezer. The caravan also has internet access and a large smart tv with access to YouTube, iPlayer, Netflix etc. The caravan is on a ‘small holding’ which has free-roaming chickens, along with pigs and horses. Ashley lives in a house onsite and will happily let you help him collect the eggs and feed the animals (including the pigs and the Coy Carp in the fenced pond in your garden). Also If your children want to see more animals and want to go on some rides then you can Springfield Fun Park which is just a 50 minute drive away. We can also recommend Camel Creek Adventure park which is just 60 minutes away. (Our kids loved it when they were younger) You are also perfectly placed to explore the towns and beaches on both the north and south coasts. The lovely fishing town of Looe ( with a nice safe beach) is just 35 minutes drive and Plymouth with its historic harbour and National Aquarium (that the kids will love) is just a 45 minute drive away. On the north coast the famous surfing and body boarding beach of Polzeath is just 60 minutes away. We allow up to two well behaved dogs , but there is an additional charge of £10 per dog per night (up to a maximum of £50 ). Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms. Smoking is not allowed inside the property but is allowed outside, so long as you do not litter the area with cigarette ends. A security deposit of £100 is required to cover any damage and to cover for the return of the electronic fob for the gates to the property.
