A historical villa with a well-tended garden, numerous shady areas with extensive views of the surrounding vineyards, Mt Etna and the gulf of Catania. Its INFINITY-EDGE POOL boasts a gradual entrance - perfect for sun bathing and for children - a relaxing hydromassage corner and a minibar where you can store all your favourite drinks. The pool can be heated by SOLAR PANELS up to 5 degrees above the outside temperature allowing you to enjoy a swim even when it gets a bit colder. Casa Sant’Emilia is the main building of the estate Eremo Sant'Emilia which also includes an annex (independent and located 100m away). This advert refers ONLY to the main building. Casa Sant’Emilia consists of 4 bedrooms with en-suite private bathroom. A second living room with TV can be transformed into a 5th bedroom with a double sofa bed and a full bathroom outside its room. All bedrooms and the living room come out onto a big terrace with view on the pool and the coast, ideal for outdoor lunches. The kitchen is next to the living room and has everything you need, including a dishwasher. Stairs lead to a reading room with another terrace with an even better view. PLEASE NOTE: The pool is shared with the eventual guests of the annex (Eremo Suite) which is located 100m away. A few consecutive sunny days guarantees the optimum functioning of the eco-sustainable solar panel system that warms up the pool. PLEASE NOTE: During the period between the end of September and the end of October (most probably between October 5th and 22nd), activities related to the grape harvest (Vendemmia) could be carried out in the huge garden of the villa. Who books in this period must take into account that for 2-3 days there could be harvesters or even children for educative purposes occupying part of the garden of the villa for about 5 hours a day. The time of the harvest can not be established in advance as it depends on many factors: from the weather to the condition of the grape and the availability of the winemaker. It goes without saying that you would be more than welcome to partecipate to the event! The huge pool with infinity edge and with bar is shared with the eventual guests of the annex (Eremo Suite), located at 100 meter from the main building. The pool is open from 28 March until 7 November and it can be heated up by solar panels to 5 degrees more than the outside temperature. It measures 8x20 meters and its depth increases up to 140 cm.
