The Snug is the perfect place to stay if you want to travel but are worried about Covid. We offer a zero face to face contact stay. You have your own private entrance & driveway The Snug is an separate building in the garden of our property, so we are on hand to solve problems - but under normal circumstances we would not have any face to face contact. The Snug is a self-contained bedsit. It has a kitchenette with electric induction hob, oven & grill, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle, pans and crockery. A new air-conditioning unit was installed in September of 2020 to keep it cool in summer and warm in winter. The modern shower room has a Mira electric shower, heated towel rail, toilet and wash-hand basin. Wi-Fi is included. The television is powered by an Amazon Firestick with access to masses of Amazon content as well as access to our Netflix account and other entertainment apps such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub etc. Double bed with all linen and towels provided. Indoor chairs & tray tables. You have exclusive use of a deck area with a view of the River Avon. Although this is partially overlooked by our kitchen window, it isn't overlooked by any neighbouring houses. You can park in your own private driveway but if you want to drop your car off early prior to check in, street parking isn't a problem. The number 36 bus stop is just 8 minutes walk away. An Uber into town is between 10 and 15 minutes or you can pick up a Voi electric rental scooter nearby. In the current climate of social isolation this property is perfect. We do not have any physical face to face contact between host and guests. We leave a Welcome Pack in the Snug with lots of information and we are on just on the end of the phone with tips and information if required. You have a self-service check-in, the key will be left in a lock box just next to your door. Entry is through the side gate from your private driveway. The code for the lock box will be provided when arrival is confirmed Please return the keys to the lock box when checking out. We are a 10 minute walk away from a local shopping centre which has a Coop Supermarket, “The Riverside Café,” a pharmacy, a traditional chip shop and a Thai take-away. The Langton, a stylish Gastro Pub is just 20 minutes by foot or a 5 minute drive. There are some lovely local walks along the river and in local Nature reserves. This lovely residential area was once the site of St Anne's Boardmills, one of the country's largest cardboard producers. We have put up some photos of what the site once looked like. It is now a conservation area with tree lined streets Catch the 36 bus into town, it stops on Wootton Road, just an 8 minute walk away (there are directions to the bus stop in the information box.) Temple Meads Station is a 10 minute taxi ride away. Another great way to get around is by taxi Uber is pretty good or download our local VCars app Bristol city centre is a 10 minute drive, Bath can be reached by car in half an hour or grab a train from Temple Meads You can hire an electric scooter from Voi - one of the hubs is just by the Coop, and you will need to download and activate the app before your first hire. Look for Voi Scooters on your phone. We have a rigorous cleaning regime. The Snug is thoroughly cleaned & disinfected between guests. This will include all surfaces in the bathroom, kitchenette area and bedroom. The information box, and TV controllers will also be cleaned and sterilised. Hand-wash and hand sanitising gel is provided Your host has a qualification from The University of Lincoln in Hygiene Management.
