The historic town of Villefranche de Rouergue is a very convenient 5.3 km distance (11 minutes car journey). This Bastide market town with its medieval streets, cafés, bars, restaurants, mini supermarkets, tourist information office, historical sites, has its own railway station. There are several bigger super markets in shopping centres in close proximity. This is rural France. Buses only link the towns not villages. You will need independent transport (car, motorbike, or bicycle) unless you can afford taxis. From Villefranche the train service provided a pretty route to Toulouse stopping at all the small towns (2 hours).
