The Lodge is an ideal countryside farm self catering get away for couples to enjoy some relaxing time together and with the convenience of local amenities, places to eat and food delivery services. Lots to explore and enjoy on the farm and the surrounding area. This Property: THE LODGE is situated within the Lyme Green Park area which is just south of the town of Macclesfield next to the village of Lyme Green, The Lodge is situated centrally to our farm of 40 acres and is the ideal countryside getaway, the farm consists of a large 21 acre field used for sheep, ponds, a 15 acre private nature reserve woodland where you can enjoy exclusive private access to explore. The Lodge enjoys spectacular views to the foot of the Pennines across open countryside. There are walks around Sutton reservoir and the Macclesfield canal tow path is very close. It is a short and picturesque walk to the village of Sutton which boasts a traditional village shop with post office and coffee shop with an abundance of fresh vegetables on sale. There are also three lovely traditional Cheshire country pubs within walking distance all serving fantastic food and drink. It is a 2 mile walk to the centre of the market town of Macclesfield which has many amenities and is famous in bygone days as a major silk producer. The Peak National Park is close by and the towns of Buxton and Leek can be reached by car in around 30 minutes. There are also many take aways that will deliver should you not wish to cook whilst enjoying a relaxing countryside break. Due to the rough and undulating ground, in places within the farm and occasional agricultural vehicle movements it is not suitable for toddlers or children Inside: The Lodge is suited to a maximum of two guests, couples sharing the bed, it consists of the following Kitchen: small but functional with a microwave, hob, kettle, toaster, sink, fridge and pots, pans, plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. Lounge: with a small dining table for two, a comfy leather sofa and a TV with freeview and an electric heater. Shower: an electric shower is within its own small shower room. W.C: there is a WC room with wash hand basin next to the shower room. Bedroom: a comfortable but compact bedroom with a standard double bed, bedside cabinets and an electric heater. Dressing Room: there is a small room providing hanging for your clothes and storage drawers. Entrance Hall: all the rooms are off the entrance hall, it contains the fridge next to the kitchen and an electric heater. Outside: There is a patio with a pub style picnic table to enjoy the view across the field of the sheep and countryside There is ample free parking all around the lodge. From The Lodge you can explore all of the farm’s open area; there are lawned areas, an arboretum, a small woodland and a pond area. Across the road is the private woodland which you are free to enjoy exclusive access to. The A 523 passes through the property as you will see on one of the images, The Lodge is well insulated and all double glazed for warmth, occasionally internally you may hear just a little traffic sound but generally it is very quiet. The farm is a working smallholding so occasionally agricultural vehicles will move about but it is only occasionally and only during the day. The farm access is protected by automatic security gates overnight for your peace of mind. You will be able to come and go as you wish. The Lodge is heated by electric heating. All electricity included. Bed linen and towels and tea towels provided. Vacuum cleaner. The Lodge is fitted with a smoke alarm, fire extinguisher and emergency light. We provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk as well as salt & pepper. Shampoo and shower gel, hand wash and washing up liquid are all standard. The Lodge does not have wifi available, however most mobile signals are good and guests mostly access internet in this way. All electric so no need for a carbon monoxide alarm * During changeover we are cleaning The Lodge as Government guidelines and best practice for your and our peace of mind.
