The Dalton's Village - Amidst a pine forest
The Dalton's at Tirthan is nested in between a small pine forest, beside a little stream, which is far from the city's hustle and bustle. The full cottage is made of mud and rock walls and earthy natural materials. Getting to our lovely abode from the main road/parking means a small 10 min down hill walk through the pine forest. Our property has 4 guest rooms in all with a common kitchen cum dinning space. We are working on building another session soon over the other end of the stream. We love evenings around a bonfire with soft music. We occasionally do a barbecue if weather permits. We also have amazing and wholesome meals available at the property. To keep yourself busy there are a lots of board games and outdoor games you can choose from. Also a very small library which we keep growing as and when we can. We love experimental cooking and hosting guests in a different way at The Dalton's Lastly this is a home .. you may call your own. everyone at the village has access to the common areas like the bonfire area, the village bridge, the hammock and also the refreshing stream and waterfall along side the property. Usually I'm on the property through out the year, hosting, cooking, gardening and building a better home. But off season I occasionally head to Delhi or Goa for work. Martin our man friday (Help) at the property is amazing and helpfully. He's trained in basic home style cooking. Makes amazing Chicken, Rajma and Dal Makhani. He also makes some nice local veggies. He would love to show you around the property and area when I'm not available. If you may need anything specific to eat we would love to amend our meals to suit you better. We have an amazing off beat location where The Dalton's cottage is. We have a stream that runs through the property. We get fresh seasonal vegetables from our neighbors and also fresh fresh flour from our very own flour mill. There are 8 chickens that run around freely on the property which give us free range chicken eggs :) also a whole lot of local himachali/mountain goodness all around that one can explore and experience There are a few trails around the property one can choose to hike on. We have The Great Himalayan National Park which is a 15 min drive from The Dalton's. Along with Chehni Kothi and Jalori pass. The market is just 2 Kms from the parking area as well. But best would be to stock up and come on over. The property is a 5 to 10 mins down hill walk from the main road which adds to our secluded, peaceful location.
