Your designer chalets combine all your daily essentials, AND a late checkout, in a boutique package ensuring your stay doesn’t disappoint! You will have access to two of your own private chalets, each with their own outdoor patio and both filled with everything you will need during your stay. Included are two off street parks right next door to your chalets, all provided free of charge. Consider them boutique inspired homes away from home with all essentials and a few extra goodies at your fingertips. Each chalet comfortably sleeps 2 people with the added option of a sofa bed for any additional children or guests. Meaning if you are two families traveling together or a group of people you will have all the luxuries of two seperate homes for your stay. Each chalet space has been optimally designed for 2 people, with 3 still comfortable but 4 would be a push. Relax and watch a movie from the full guide of cable TV channels, enjoy the sun or the beautiful New Zealand evenings on the outdoor furniture on your own private patio, or play a game of our limited edition Hobbit Monopoly or Strategy set. The House of Hazel is located 1km South of the town centre, the Hobbiton bus departure point – known as the i-site / information centre and central business district. Heading further south we are a stones throw from Hobbiton Movie Set & Tours. Our accommodation is situated on the rear of a generously sized residential section and once you have turned off the road and down the driveway the rear of the section is private, quiet and nothing short of perfectly peaceful. Resident birdlife also reside in the same area on property and have been have cultivated through generations in our family. To the best of my knowledge they are running their own successful avian airbnb enterprise from their birdhouses, and run a strict no party policy, although are fairly vocal with their birdsong at dusk and dawn. The House of Hazel is 1km from the Hobbiton bus to Shires Rest and also the main bus stop in Matamata. We have taxis available at most hours of the day & evening and your own two parking spaces, off the street, beside your chalet. We use only green and organic cleaning materials and supplies to insure that we are doing our bit for the environment. Also we have commercial laundry facilities available 24/7 for guests.
