Cosy cottage in Somerset. Sleeps 4, with 2 bedrooms. Pet friendly. Log burner. The cottage is a short walk to the centre of the market town of Crewkerne. Good for exploring the Jurassic coast and the local towns and villages including the very popular, Lyme Regis. The cottage has views over parkland, with a large front garden and a decked area at the rear with seating which is ideal for morning coffee and sundowners. There’s a swimming pool, gym and a children’s play ground very close by. The entire cottage will be yours for the duration of your stay and has 2 bedrooms, (set up as a kingsize bed in main bedroom and 2 single beds in bedroom 2) newly fitted kitchen and bathroom with shower over bath. There’s also a lounge with a log burner and plenty of logs for those cold cosy winter nights, 2 sofas and a small dinning table which seat 4. The cottage is full stocked with kitchen appliances and all the things you’ll need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. There is a key lock box at the cottage and you’ll be given access to the unique code to give you easy access whatever time you arrive. A welcome message will be sent to you when you book and then before your stay begins, another message with information regarding access and further details of the cottage. There’s information regarding contact if necessary on the message once you book and generally there is little need for interaction but a phone call or message and you query will be attended to. The property is situated in a row of quaint cottages that were build in the middle of the 1800’s for local mill workers. There’s a front garden with lawn and an area overlooking the field and parkland. There’s lots of history in the area and the market town has lots of historic buildings and architecture of note. There’s antique shops, a hardware store, coffee shops and pubs, as well as a Waitrose, Costa and other outlets that you’d expect without the town losing its market town character. The breathtaking countryside is right on the doorstep and the stunning coastline of Dorset, is a 20 minute drive away. North Devon coast is also accessible within 1 hour too. Exeter airport is just over 1 hour away and London is 2h 15 minutes by car. The town has a train station with access into central London available in just over 2 hours. Parking is on street and on a first come basis. There’s parking in the local car park which is a short walk from the cottage if you can not get parked in the road. The lane where the cottage is located is a little narrow, of course that means it’s a quiet place to be, which is a bonus.
