Margaret's Cottage

My place is close to the harbour of Burry Port and the 7 mile long beach at Pembrey, plus all the attractions of the countryside of Carmarthenshire. You’ll love the view across Camarthen Bay to the Gower and beyond and the peaceful country setting - with a private garden with BBQ, wi-fi, Sky TV or a cosy dining rom with a log burner for the lazier days.. The cottage is good for couples, friends, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids). It is a traditional stone built cottage wtih everything inside to make it as comfortable as possible for the stay. The whole property, including the garden. I live close by, but unless guests need anything I like to leave people in peace to make the cottage their own during their stay. It's very green and peaceful, with friendly local people. There are plenty of things to do, starting with beaches and castles and including a gold mine, steam railways and adventure centres, and not forgetting lovely gardens and good restaurants. Burry Port and Pembrey station is 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes away by car and has a regular train service to Swansea and Cardiff to the East and Carmarthen and Pembrokeshire towns to the West. The train trip is worth it for the stunning views of the Burry Estuary as the line runs right along the coast. For the more active, the Coast Path and other walking & cycle routes are great ways to see the countryside.
