Shepherd's Cottage, rural retreat - double bedroom

The cottage is set in the midst of rural countryside, with nearest neighbours 1/4 of a mile away. Yet, it is jut 5 minutes drive from Downton, and 10 minutes to the outskirts of Salisbury and 15 minutes to the centre of Salisbury. You will often see wildlife, whilst having a cup of tea/coffee/beer or glass of wine, whilst sitting at the kitchen table. Log fire in sitting room. It has one double room and 1 room with twin beds. If you book both rooms, then your bathroom with be private. Note: with corona virus I would kindly ask guests to wear face-masks on arrival in the kitchen, to wash their hands and to socially distance. There is a log fire, to light whenever you wish, in the large sitting room. I light it EVERY evening, even late in the evening in summer, for the joy of looking at it! I have a well behaved black labrador dog. If guests wish to bring dogs, there would be a charge of £8 a night. My dog is not very good with small dogs. The cottage is smoking friendly, although absolutely no smoking in bedrooms or bathrooms. As well as your own bedroom, and the bathroom, also the kitchen and sitting room. Mostly I am around, although do not wish to intrude on your "space". Very occasionally, I go away, and if I do not have guests, I have a cottage sitter. Were I to go away, I would check with you first, to see if you would prefer me to be here (to keep the home fire burning), or if you would enjoy the cottage to yourselves. The cottage is set in the midst of rural countryside, very peaceful and tranquil. With lovely walks on the doorstep. You may see wildlife, whilst you are having breakfast, or evening meal in the kitchen, right outside the window. There is no public transport. It is essential that you have your own car.
