The "Garden Cottage" is situated in 2 acres of landscaped gardens on our 300acre farm. We are located close to the heritage listed village of Rockley, Jenolan Caves, the township of Oberon and the famous 'Mayfield Gardens'. Our place is great for couples, solo travellers, adventurers and business travellers. The village of Millthorpe and Orange are close offering boutique vineyards and amazing food. Enjoy our private gardens with an abundance of birdlife and the peace and serenity it offers. "The Garden Cottage"offers privacy with its own parking bay and private entrance. We respect guests privacy and allow them the space to enjoy their stay. With recent distancing rules you will feel safe from Covid with lots of room to move around without any unnecessary contact with unknown people. Guests have their own verandah and the garden offers many cosy areas to sit and read or just enjoy nature and the wonderful bird life! Our property is 300acres of farmland, creek beds and lucerne flats sitting at 960m to 1,000 metres above sea level. We are fortunate to get snow during the winter months from June to October. All four seasons bring its own beauty for you to enjoy. We are conveniently located close to Orange, Bathurst and Oberon for you to enjoy the country lifestyle. The comfort of the cottage will make your stay truly wonderful with a comfortable contemporary design. For your comfort we offer shampoo/conditioner with Australian bush scents, a hairdryer and sheridan sheets 1,000 thread count. Kitchenette available with microwave, crockery, cultary, condiments tea & coffee. Homemade cake tea/coffee complimentary on arrival. There is a toaster, kettle, microwave, tea/coffee and milk. Guest are welcome to walk and sit in garden at any time. The four seasons bring are all different and fortunately we get snow in winter. The garden surrounds the cottage with wonderful birdlife, butterflies and bees. We have our own hives and harvest the honey. We also have a large vegetable garden that we harvest from all year round as well as chooks who give us eggs daily. Guests are able to view all these attractions in our garden area which is a couple acres. Hello my name is Janelle! We live on 300 acres and love our country lifestyle eating our own produce from our vegetable garden and fresh eggs from our chooks. Guests have the option to order and pay separately for a scrumptious hot breakfast using eggs from our chickens with seasonal produce from our garden including homemade jams and honey from our bees. Such as 'Mayfield Gardens' near Oberon, one of the largest gardens in the southern hemisphere. Jenolan Caves is recognised worldwide, as well as Kanangra Falls for the adventurers. Orange is nearby and recognised for food and wine whilst Millthorpe offers a unique shopping experience and Bathurst for it's car racing. Dare to drive around Mt Panorama or visit the home of Ben Chiefly (Prime Minister of Australia from 1945-49). All of these attractions are an hour or less from our place. The local tourist office and (Website hidden by Airbnb) have available loads of information for you to explore and make your stay memorable. The historical Village of Rockley was established in 1850 and delightful to explore just 5mins down the road offering a cafe and heritage pub for refreshments....!
