Mill Stream Cabin is a secluded retreat with a large private garden set in the rolling Somerset countryside five miles from the M5. With the nearest road two fields away, fall asleep to the susurrations of the willow trees and the gentle rushing of the streams that surround the garden. This is the perfect spot to read, write and relax and also an ideal base for walkers. * Note that the private access track is not suitable for limited ground clearance vehicles. Please contact us if unsure. The cabin is set in half an acre of garden and is completely self-contained. The kitchen-lounge is fully equipped with a fridge, dishwasher and washing machine, with table and chairs and a spacious living area. The calm and relaxing bedroom has a comfortable double bed and ample wardrobes. There is a shower over a full-length bathtub in the cosy en-suite bathroom. Outside, relax in a comfy chair on the decking or dine al fresco in the vine-covered gazebo. You’re welcome to help yourself to herbs from the garden or tomatoes from the greenhouse. A footpath runs through the property, taking you to two different country pubs, one just a five-minute walk away and one less than three miles along the banks of the beautiful River Tone. Further afield you come to Oake Manor Golf Club, and the beautiful Quantock Hills are a twenty-minute drive away, where there are many mountain bike trails to explore. We will be available to contact via phone should you need any help during your stay. Hillfarrance is a quintessentially English village with a church and green. The local pub offers an award winning Sunday carvery and in Bradford on Tone there is The Whitehorse Inn with a very warm welcome, fantastic food and great selection of real ales. Two miles away the village of Oake has a small voluntary run shop and post office, available for the essentials. We are also very lucky to be close to the famous Sheppy’s House of Cider, with its farmshop, restaurant, delicatessen and bar. Just a short distance away, is the Rumwell Farmshop, which has an excellent selection of locally grown produce and a superb cafe. Step outside the front door of the cabin and you are immediately on miles of footpaths leading across our stunningly, beautiful countryside.
