This accommodation is not suitable for wheelchairs. Our large garden is also available for you to enjoy, here you could relax with a book after a hard days sight seeing or even entertain a few freinds that might be staying somewhere else but handy to you. There are several public footpaths in the area, some partly along The Severn Way. There is ample parking and only 10 meters to carry your cases. We live on site and will usually be around if you need anything. However, we are always at the end of the phone! Only a few miles from the small parish town of Upton Upon Severn where you can enjoy the many pubs, cafes and restaurants here, trips on the River Severn or the ever popular Jazz, Folk and Blues festivals. Earls Croome is a small Worcestershire village of approximately 150 residents, so it is best that you have some sort of motorised transport, although our BnB is 150 meters from bus stops on the A38 road. Travelling north there are several villages eventually leading to the City of Worcester 8 miles away where there are many good restuarants, pubs, high street shops, the Swan theatre and Huntington Hall where there are regular weekly music events. Travelling south there is Upton on Severn which is a small riverside town on the River Severn, after this there are more villages and then a much larger town of Tewkesbury which is about 7 miles away. Here you will find more public houses and eating places plus the Roses theatre. Worcester has a wonderful Cathedral which is open to the public most times of the year. Tewkesbury has an Abbey which is also worth a visit. Trains run regularly through Worcester and one can access Birmingham and the north or Londons Padington Station where you could then take the Underground railway to anywhere in London city. Birmingham airport is approximately 35 miles away or Londons Heathrow is about 105 miles away. To the east of Earls Croome, a distance of 6 miles, one can find Pershore a market town which has a small theatre called Number 8, Pershore Abbey and a fitness center and swimming pool attractively positioned close to the River Avon where there is a lovely green park area suitable for picknics or just watching the pleasure boats go by. Further in the same direction, Evesham can be reached and many smaller cotswold villages and Stratford upon Avon. To the south there is Tewkesbury which has a theatre called the Roses and at the other end of the town there is a new swim pool. Further south one can find Cheltenham and close by Gloucester which has had its docks revamped, ideal for the tourist and those interested in the historical barge and boating life once an integral part of industries along the River Severn. Bristol is some 50 miles further on and being a large vibrant city has much to offer with theaters, museums and larger docks very near the River Severn Estuary. To the west there is the city of Hereford just a 35 minute drive, but to the southwest along the M50 Ross on Wye can be found and a bit further on Monmouth and then many villages in the forest of Dean all situated around the River Wye. It is possible to take part in canoeing and kayaking as there are several small companies offering just that. Nearer to Upton on Severn, 6 miles to the West are the Mavern Hills where you can take lovely hikes to see the wonderful views and the town of Malvern which has a lovely theater called The Winter Gardens, there is also a fitness center and swimming pool right next the theatre area.
