There is a small picnic area and table by The Granary for guest use and direct walking access is available onto the local bridleway and footpath network. This beautifully restored 1830’s listed Granary is available as a holiday home near Canterbury in Kent. Just recently finished, with a host of traditional features including exposed beams, original window design that allow the light to flood into the rooms. Tastefully furnished in a modern contemporary style, this Kent holiday home has been finished to an extremely high standard. Just a short drive from the historic City of Canterbury and the Kent coast with towns such as Sandwich, Deal and Whitstable. The Granary is a very special holiday home in Kent and would make an ideal destination for long vacations or short breaks throughout the year. Enjoy cross country bike riding for those of a sporty inclination or walk in local woodlands. The Granary is a self contained two story listed building adjacent to the garden of the main house, featuring Lounge, Kitchen Diner, cloakroom, two beds and shower room. Retained Granary features include raised stone staddle stones and feature access steps. There are extensive countryside views over Kent countryside. We will normally meet visitors on their first day or very soon after, we live locally and can be contacted directly during your stay if you require assistance or local information. Petham, by Canterbury, is a picturesque rural village with extensive Conservation Area. Walking distance to local micro pub Petham Pint for fine ales and a short distance further good food, Canterbury is 3 miles away with restaurants, Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury Cathedral and The University and Canterbury College. We are situated in a quiet rural farmyard with a direct path to our newly planted orchard which can be used for peaceful time out and to view the surrounding area. Animal lovers will enjoy the abundance of wildlife including Buzzards and Red Kite. In neighbouring fields there are Horses & a Shetland Pony, Alpaca & Jacob Sheep. In the village is a recreation area with childrens play equipment. Regular day time bus service to/from Canterbury, many local walks and excellent area for cycling. There is a Taxi service in the village which can be pre booked. Access to this listed building is via eight feature steps with handrail. This rural location has very limited internet and poor mobile phone signal.
