Christianna house is located near the coastal village of Kavros, a charmingly picturesque holiday resort with all the amenities you may need.It is located in a rural area , close to the beach , almost in the centre of Crete , which makes it easy to visit all the sigths on the island. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven , microwave oven , coffee-maker and a dining-table for 6 persons. The house is air-conditioned and the nice fireplace is only for winter use. Outside there is also a nise shaded area with furniture for dining ,enjoy your outdoor cooking with barbecue ,sun beds , garden lounge which are surrounded by palm-trees , various plants and flowers.Also a free private parking is available. Kavros is rich in restaurants , bars , shops and everything else necessary for an enjoyable vacation.Further more , the longest sandy beach in Crete lies at your feet , offering endless opportunities for fun or relaxation. Lying only 3,5 km away from the seafront of Kavros is Grete's only freshwater lake the famous Lake of Kournas , a magnificent natural lake with lush green surroundings , and which according to logal legend is said to be bottomless. Here you can try a traditional meal in one of many water-side tavernas and take advantage of the water sports available , such as the popular pedal boats , and enjoy the crystal clear waters of the lake.In about 3 km from Kavros Sea Front View is located the famous beach resort of Georgioupolis , once a fishermen village has now become a tourist resort with outstanding natural beauty. There you can find a variety of restaurants , beach bars , super markets and everything elsw you migth need. It's better to have a car but if you not is a very good bus connection from/to Rethymno 15 minutes/to Chania 40 min /to Heraklio 1 hour and 30 min trip.
