Situated in the Gwendraeth Valley, around a mile from the quaint village of Pontyates and 4 miles from the historic market town of Kidwelly on the Carmarthen Bay, Dove Cottage offers a fantastic central location to discover this stunning part of West Wales. Ffos Las racecourse, Glyn Abbey Golf Course, National Botanical Gardens of Wales and Pembrey Country Park are all within a 30-minute drive. Pembrokeshire and the Gower Peninsula offer a great day out. At the Llanelli Wetland Centre you can go bug hunting, see flamingos and enjoy bird watching from hides. The ancient town of Kidwelly is only a 5 minute drive away and is really worth a visit with one of the finest preserved Norman Castles in Wales. Pembrey Country Park is around 10 minutes away complete with 500 acres of woodland, dry ski slope, toboggan run and the picture postcard Cefn Sidan Sands covering 8 miles of golden beach. The holiday cottage is self-catering, and guests can have as much or as little contact with the owners as they would like. A lovely welcome pack is provided, including wine, milk, eggs, bacon, cheese and butter, plus a selection of local Welsh food.
