Beautifully renovated stone house with heated pool
Beautiful, typical Perigordine house recently renovated with heated pool
** PAYMENT IN POUND STERLING POSSIBLE - PLEASE ASK FOR DETAILS** Maison de Rey is a superbly renovated traditional stone farmhouse. The outbuildings have been sympathetically linked to the farmhouse creating a large, airy and open space combining original features such as oak beams and a bread oven from the 18th Century incorporated into the living space. A large expanse of glazing in the salon, allows much light in, affording a very contemporary feel to the living area. The style of furnishings is ‘shabby chic’ giving the accommodation a traditional feel yet with modern fittings in the bathroom and kitchen where natural materials such as stone and oak have been used. There are four bedrooms (sleeping 8). Two double rooms with en suite facilities are on the ground floor. Two further bedrooms are upstairs set in the eves of the house. One is the double master bedroom with en suite and the other is a twin bedded room with a bathroom alongside. In the grounds (3/4 acre) there is an inner courtyard with a covered dining area (summer kitchen with BBQ) where you can keep cool over a leisurely lunch. Beyond the courtyard is a private pool set in a secluded area surrounded by trees. The final temperature of the water depends on the meteorological conditions. There is also a trampoline and swings and slide set so that children can be supervised during play while adults are relaxing by the pool. There is a shady poolside terrace so that meals can be enjoyed outside in the balmy evenings.
