Karearea Cottage, Rahui Pokeka(Huntly) is central to the Waikato, minutes from the Waikato Expressway/SH1 - approx. hours drive to Auckland, west coast surfing/fishing beaches like Raglan, 90 mins to east coast Coromandel's world renowned beautiful beaches, a short drive to Hakarimata bushwalks with 800 year old Kauri, Golf Course, Hot Pools, Huntly Speedway, 20 minutes to Kirikirioa/Hamiltons TeRapa, Hampton Downs Raceway, and lovely cafe's a short drive. We are on 4 acres with animals. You can have a private stay using the lock box or come and have a chat to Dave and Fransiska who are happy to walk with you around the land meeting Jelly (Dutchwarm blood horse) . We have a mix of guests whom can stay for get togethers, or use the central Waikato location as a base to travel to other spots, for time out, or stay for weeks on end such as for work in the area, hospital rehab, between buying property, or study retreats plus many other reasons like Wedding Anniversaries or staying the night on honeymoon travels, or simply a great place to stay on travels in or out as approx an hour from Auckland/Hamilton airports. Lockbox self entrance. The whole cottage and deck areas will be your space. The garage is unavailable unless prior arrangement as we normally keep our yacht in there. There is a patio with a charcoal BBQ available. The patio and gully paths lead to a pond therefore children will need to be supervised at all times. The paths are still being formed so can be slippery when wet. We live on the property and are available. There is a lockbox so you can self access on arrival. Raahui Pookeka is central to the golden triangle of Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga with all the beautiful beaches of both east and west coasts along with outstanding bush walks, golf course, local Placemakers speedway, Pony Club, and the must do things. Free and ample parking on site - plenty of room for extras like trailers or more than one car. We are close to the shops and facilities.
