Matamata rural - “River n Range

Rurally peaceful and within 10 minutes drive from Matamata township, we’re situated 5 minutes drive from the the popular Wairere Falls, and the Matamata Golf Course and Opal hot mineral pools are 4km down the road. It’s 35 minutes to Hobbiton and lovely beaches and cycle trails are within an hour's drive. A Coromandel Peninsula visit makes a great days scenic drive. Make us the hub for your North Island visit. We think we have a cool home, and so do our friends and visitors. Our home is situated on a lifestyle block under the Kaimai Range and overlooks the Waihou River, . Mel and I live in a self-designed three bedroom "cottage" styled home which offers ample privacy to its guests. We are avid collectors of NZ art. Nature beckons at your doorstep with a variety of beautiful bush walks nearby. Conquer the North Islands highest waterfall "Wairere" and cast your eyes over the Waikato. Please note The $110 per night is for 2 persons an extra $40 per night each for the 3rd and 4th persons You will be the the only guests during your stay. The two guest bedrooms, with a shared ensuite, are separated from the owners living area by a lounge and large kitchen. There is ample parking for all vehicles. Guests will be issued a key to access their end of the house. Own transport is necessary as there is no public transport, however we may be able to assist if available . Cost by negotiation. Brian and Mel are an "easy to get on with" obliging couple but because Mel works during the week Brian would be the key host making himself available if required to assist/entertain guests during their stay. It's peacefully rural yet handy to Matamata with its excellent facilities and wide range of eating establishments. A great base from which you can do day trips to take in the many of the activities offered by the Waikato, King Country and Bay of Plenty You will need your own transport otherwise we may be able to assist. Cost by negotiation. Price of $110 is for 2 persons. More than 2 adults is an extra $40 per night each for the 3rd and 4th adult. Please note that children under 5 are an extra $30 per night per child We will prepare an evening meal for an extra $25 per head, with 24 hour prior notice. This can be paid directly to hosts, Brian & Mel.
