Beautifully decorated bedroom with queen size bed. All of the amenities you would expect are available in the room, including a built in desk for work or study. Full bath with tub and shower directly across the hallway. The bathroom may be shared with the female host (she likes the lighting) or on rare occasions another guest. Off street parking right in front of the house. We have two additional rooms and can accommodate a total of six adults total. Guests will have access to the entire home except for the hosts' master suite and other guest rooms. This includes the TV room, the Sun Room, and formal Living and Dining rooms. We DO NOT offer full kitchen privileges. Kitchen use is limited to coffee makers, microwave oven and toaster. A covered Front Porch, a large patio and boardwalk in the back yard are available for your relaxation as weather permits. All outdoor areas are furnished with tables and chairs for dining or resting. The hosts will be available as little or as much as you require. We are both retired and spend many of our days and evenings at home. We will greet you upon arrival and give you a tour. We can answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding our home, our neighborhood, and our city. Our home is in an older subdivision on the west side of town just two miles from the center of Purdue campus. Our neighbors are either professional or self-employed. Many are affiliated with Purdue either actively or retired. This is a perfect location for individuals coming to Purdue for any reason. Location is less than two miles to Purdue Campus and 3.3 miles to Ross Aid Stadium and Mackey Arena. City Bus provides express service every thirty minutes just 500 feet from our front door all day and evening during the Purdue school year. Other City Bus services are available nearby. The host, when available, will be happy to provide car service to and from the Purdue campus at no additional charge as parking on or near campus is at a premium. Uber, Lyft and taxi service also available. As our home is on a state highway we do not recommend walking to and from the Purdue campus. But being on a state highway means our road is plowed early and often during snow storms, as is our driveway. Even though we are on a state highway the rooms are very quiet due to double and triple pane windows and excellent insulation. If you are traveling by bus we can also meet you at the bus terminal and return you there upon your departure. Lafayette Limo, Reindeer Shuttle and Express Air Coach, (they all have web sites) provide bus and limo service to West Lafayette and Purdue University to and from the Indianapolis and Chicago airports. Amtrak provides service to Chicago, Indianapolis and points east three times per week. (Amtrak Cardinal) We want our guests to be comfortable in our home. The bedroom door locks and requires a key. Your personal effects will be safe while you are away. We will provide additional amenities at your request.
