Our lodge is nestled on the Rame peninsular & close to south west coastal path and ideal for a family break or weekend away. View Whitsand Bay holiday fort website for activities etc. 'Rosechard', our luxury lodge has stunning views across to Plymouth, the estuary, Saltash Bridge, Dartmoor, and of course the beautiful Rame peninsula. The lodge benefits from glass panelling (for unspoilt spectacular views) from the large decking area, (BBQ, table and chairs), central heating, smart TV and Wi-Fi. This charming family friendly luxury lodge is in a great location with beach access & onsite restaurant/bar on the fort grounds & good parking (own parking space -marked 29). The local taxi and bus services are very accessible and information is in the lodge folder. Enjoy the coastal footpaths with amazing views stretching from Mt Edgecombe to Rame to the fishing ports of Looe and Polperro. It comes with a designated parking place, numbered No.29 next to reception and the lodge is a short walk and just below reception. Always available for questions by phone & my brother, Gavin, lives in Torpoint (15 minutes away). The local area is beautiful with great walks/cycling routes/cafes/pubs/shops & buses etc. The views from the large decking area and glass panelling enable unspoilt views across the fields to: Dartmoor, Estuary, Saltash Bridge, Millbrook lake, Smeaton's Tower on the Hoe, and Maker Heights. There are local taxi services, a bus stop just outside the holiday park (very regular). Cremyll ferry at Mt Edgecombe (over to The Royal William Yard). Cawsand Bay ferry (seasonal) that takes you to The Mayflower steps in the Barbican Plymouth. And the fabulous coastal path for running/walking/cycling. The Rame peninsula is often referred to as the 'forgotten corner of Cornwall'. Just across the Torpoint ferry you find yourself just inside the Cornish border and can explore the beauty of this stunning peninsula. Millbrook, Anderton and the timeless villages of Cawand and Kingsand are but a stones throw from this beautiful luxury lodge. This is also the perfect accomodation for the frequent weddings at Whitsand Bay Fort or Polhawn Fort. In addition the lodge is a 15 minute drive from HMS Raleigh for those weekly passout parades.
