The Little Lake Lodge

Our quaint outhouse has been lovingly transformed into a cosy and snug studio space. Newly refurbished to a high standard it offers everything you need for a home away from home! With its own entrance means you have all the contactless, privacy you need. NO CLEANING or EXTRA PERSON FEE Greetings travellers and welcome to 'The Little Lake Lodge'. Our freshly restored inner-city haven awaits you, offering a halfway stop between the best of city life and the R&R that many of you may be seeking on a trip away. Situated on Cardiff's prestigious Lake Road East, the lodge is nestled opposite Roath Park Lake, a Cardiff treasure that has only recently been awarded the prestigious 'Green Flag' award. Inside the lodge you will find an open plan living space with comfortable double bed (oh so vital after a day of exploring), flat screen t.v and small kitchenette with sink, micro, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and mini fridge. Towels are provided, as are light refreshments. There is also use of a patio area with bistro table under the carport for anyone who wants to enjoy some fresh air 'The Little Lake Lodge' is entirely independent from our family home, located at the top of the driveway underneath the carport. We are on hand to help with any tips or questions but if you are looking for privacy the main house is far enough away for you to feel separate from us. Once you are settled in we can be as involved (or not) as you need us to be! Please note that we do have schools aged children who play in the garden sometimes. You may hear them but the noise won’t ever go on late As previously mentioned, we are nestled a stones throw away from Roath Park Lake which offers gorgeous walks, local wildlife and a very tropical conservatory. Tesco Express is a three minute walk away if you need to stock up on essentials as well as a brand new coffee shop 'Waterloo Tea Rooms' and a pub. The local bus stop is 200 meters away with buses running every half an hour into the bustling city centre. The local train station, Heath High Level, is also within a 5 minute walk taking approx three and a half minutes to get in to the heart of the city. So whether you are looking for a peaceful weekend away or a city break to explore everything that Cardiff has to offer (Castle's, rugby, museums and famous nightlife to name but a few), or maybe you fancy a bit of both, 'The Little Lake Lodge' awaits you with a warm welcome. Ample on-road parking is always readily available if you are driving down to us (however, parking on the drive will not be available as my unofficial job as Mum/Taxi driver means we need it to be an open runway)!
