Set on the top of a small hill and overlooking Thornton's Peak and the Daintree World Heritage rainforest, the Epiphyte B & B is the perfect place to use as a base to explore reef, forest and the tropics or to simply relax and recharge. Welcome! The Epiphyte B & B is a unique eco-accommodation house in the Daintree World Heritage rainforest, 2 hours north of Cairns near Cape Tribulation. Set atop a small hill and with spectacular views across the forest to Thornton Peak and the Alexandra Range, The Epiphyte is just minutes away from tranquil beaches, boardwalks and visitor centers and close to (but quieter than) the busy tourism hub of Cape Tribulation. With open space visitor lounges and verandahs, spectacular views and en-suite double rooms with private balconies, The Epiphyte is the perfect place for singles, couples or families/groups. Relax, unwind, visit our wonderful beaches and waterholes, experience the magical Daintree rainforest and the oldest flowering plants on the planet. There are 4 rooms in the main house; 1 single, 1 double & 2 superior double / family rooms plus 2 separate cottages away from the main house. Room rates from $90/single or $140 - $160/double. The Golden Orchid Retreat Cottage and Hibiscus Cottage from $180/night. Prices include a delicious tropical breakfast plus tea/coffee anytime. We can also advise you about and book all tours and activities. There is a great common area for meeting others and each room also has its own private balcony for quiet time out and just to relax with views across the national Park. 'Welcome Home' to the Epiphyte B & B. You are able to use the whole house. The Epiphyte has a well-equipped kitchen available for guest use, there is a great library, excellent hammocks and fantastic views. Breakfast is included and tea/coffee is available free of charge anytime. Wifi access is available through hotspot. We really enjoy meeting new people and the large shared dining and lounge areas and open verandahs are perfect for meeting other guests. We can help you book any local tours and activities and we will recommend what we think will suit you the best. We can also give yo advice about the rest of your holiday - good places to go ad good places to avoid. There is no booking fee for booking any activities. It's a beautiful area... rainforest all the way to the beaches and boardwalks, cassowary in the adjoining forests and very tranquil. You really need a few days to relax and unwind here as well as to see some of the absolute magic of the Daintree! It's important to have your own transport to maximise your stay here. We can give you good advice about car hire from Cairns - the base rate is usually ply about $35/day. There is limited mobile access for guests at the Epiphyte B & B. Optus users can get data and make calls from specific areas in all accommodation. Telstra and other users may not have access at the main accommodation house but can hotspot to the Epiphyte connection OR can get a signal 200m back down the road. i We can accept cards for payment BUT if you have cash it is so much better as we don't need to give any extra money to the banks!
