1930s Workers’ Cottage.
A Genuine 1930s, historic workers cottage, set in a very peaceful 10 acre garden. This farm cottage has been left mostly unused over the last 90 years and comes replete with vintage memorabilia, a wood fired stove, a deep bath claw-foot bath and copper-head shower. Although it looks a bit rough, it is very cosy and full of charm. No WiFi sorry. We are off the grid. A place where you can hear the birds sing, the wind blow and see the stars. Set in a fruit and nut orchard. Sometimes you may have sheep on your doorstep. The Selwyn district has many lakes, rivers, mountains and wide open beaches. 10 Minutes drive down the road is the town of Leeston, with cafes, a pub, a large gym (free to use for guests) and a supermarket.
