Le Petit Moulin de Veillard, Esprit 1 bedroom gite

In the village of Veillard - Grand Champagne Cognac Region - is Le Petit Moulin. A converted 17th century watermill and barns, housing four superbly equipped gites. With charm and history on the outside the interiors have been fully modernised, including central heating via sustainable woodchip, making the complex a great place to stay all year round. Accessibility is a real bonus being 1km from Bourg Charente, 4km from Jarnac and 10km from Cognac, the immediate area has so much to offer! Larger than the average 1 bedroom Gite, Esprit is 65m2. The bedroom has a Superking bed including luxe mattress topper. The kitchen is very well equipped and kitchen staples are provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The property is converted from a 17th Century water mill and barns, there is charm and history on the outside but the interiors have been designed and fitted to deliver to the requirements of the 21st century traveller, including central heating for a warm and comfortable all year round stay. If you are wanting to experience the vineyards, pineau and cognac domaines whilst taking in the many festivals and exhibitions of art, music, theatre, history, craft as well as the beautiful River Charente - Le Petit Moulin is perfectly located. We live in the Moulin and are always happy to do a tour of the property history, be on hand should you need anything but are totally respectful of your peace and privacy. There is private gated parking on site, easy access (100 metres) to the best boulangerie in the Charente and connecting roads for your trips and tours! We also provide excellent free wifi if you're on a working stay and French and English TV. There is access to the shared gardens and barbecue area with outdoor dining furniture and loungers. All gites have their own private access but we are on hand should you need. We live on the complex in the Moulin however, we are respectful of your peace and privacy. The Gites are situated in a small village with à Boulangerie nearby. Just outside the property is the village pond, home to ducks and swans. On the opposite side of the pond you can see the 'Grand Moulin'. At the top of the street is Domaine Pautier where you can take a tour and sample the pineaus and wines. The area is residential and surrounded by vineyards. There is a public bus service and the nearest train station is situated in Jarnac (4km). The nearest airports are Bordeaux and La Rochelle both just over an hour from the Property. The property has automatic gates and Esprit has a dedicated private parking space.
