Rose Bank Cottage, Symonds Yat West

Lovely cottage in the beautiful Symonds Yat West. Situated in a quiet spot but within easy reach of the river Wye, pubs and restaurants. Masses of opportunities to walk, cycle, climb, canoe, kayak, or simply potter about in the garden. The cottage has three double bedrooms and one single. Fully fitted kitchen with seating for eight. Living room with two sofas, armchair, TV and wood burner. One bathroom and one shower room. Washing and drying facilities. Please note that Rose Bank Cottage is, in parts, an old cottage. There are many steps and variations in levels throughout. There is no handrail going from ground floor to second floor. The cast iron radiators and exposed copper pipes become very hot when the heating is on. It is also worth noting that the outside space is uneven, with many different levels and steep slopes in places. Please think carefully before booking if travelling with young children or individuals who are unsteady on their feet. Guests will have access to the entire cottage I will be available via text or phone throughout your stay. Symonds Yat West is a small rural community made up of people who live here all the time and a small number of holiday lets. it is a welcoming community who is always willing to lend a helping hand. You will want to visit Saracens Head Inn, maybe getting there via the hand-pulled ferry crossing or Biblins Rope Bridge. A walk to the top of Symonds Yat Rock is a must with its fantastic views and opportunity to spot Perigrine Falcons. Goodrich Castle is another local delight as is Ye Old Ferrie Inn pub. You might jump on a river cruise, or try your hand at climbing or caving, canoeing or kayaking, or paddle boarding. Near by market towns of Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth offer shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. The cottage is in a very rural location and you will need a car to access it. I will, due to high demand, generally only accept week-long bookings during the month of August
