Charming Double Room, Parsonage Farm, Croscombe

This listing is for our smaller bedroom which sleeps two people. It is a recently renovated space with new ensuite shower room. This room has its own front door and is adjacent to our historic family home, in the beautiful village of Croscombe between Wells and Shepton Mallet. This room shares our conservatory as a sitting area. Please see the layout plan in the photos. Our home is a 15C farmhouse in the village of Croscombe. We have cats, bees, sheep, chickens, turkeys, geese and ducks and sell our produce locally. Guests are welcome to buy our seasonal produce including cider, jams, marmalade, chutneys, cordials, beeswax polish, wool and free-range eggs. Guests have access to the bedroom with ensuite shower room and the conservatory as a seating area. Please see the plan in the photos. There is a kettle, tea and coffee in the bedroom. There is no access to the rest of our home, garden or farm (including no access to the kitchen). We will be in and out during your stay, and always try to be accessible by phone. We try and always make sure we are there for check-in and check-out and ask that guests let us know an approximate arrival time as soon as possible so we can plan our evening. We're in a quiet English village with a beautiful church, pub and village shop. Nearby are the destination towns of Wells, Frome, Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet. The village of Croscombe is worth a visit in its own right; nestled in the Sheppey Valley it was founded in around 700AD it has a historic church with carved box pews and spectacular spire, several old mill buildings and walks with spectacular views over the village. We have a leaflet of a suggested walk around the village which takes in the majority of the notable buildings and are happy to advise those who would like to go for longer walks on good routes to take. We have our own licensed cab! A genuine iconic London Taxi, which can carry up to six passengers. Please message us with your anticipated needs to ensure availability. We are very close to the bus stop and on direct routes to Bath, Shepton Mallet and Wells. The bus goes twice an hour - timetables are available online. Cycling? we are close to National Cycle Route 3. Contact us to discuss your needs- we can provide secure storage for bikes. We don't offer meals or access to the kitchen so guests will need to make other plans. The lovely pub in our village is a 5 minute walk away and do breakfast from 8am and evening meals. There is also a village shop in the pub which is open 7 days of the week. Please note that there is limited mobile network coverage in the whole of the village. We provide WiFi broadband internet and recommend you enable WiFi calling on your mobile phone.
