Let's take an early morning stroll in a very cozy place while listening to birds singing. Or grab a chair across the street at the waterside and enjoy your morning coffee while enjoying the green nature views across the canal while the boats pass by. Oude Meer is lovely little community situated on the dyke of the "Haarlemmer Ringvaart" (canal). From the dyke you can enjoy the water, the boats and nature. It is possible to explore the beautiful lake area by bike or boat. In summer you can swim in the canal. Just a short drive by car (or by bike) away is the Amsterdamse Bos. (Amsterdam Forrest) A great place to walk around for hours. There is a Theatre or you can rent a canoe on the lake. A 5 min walk away from the studio there is a nice restaurant at the waterside called "Wink" Public transport is close and takes you within 30 minutes to Schiphol Airport. There are plenty of transport connections to take into the Amsterdam area, The Hague, Utrecht, Zandvoort Beach or centre of town. The bus will take you to Amsterdam Centre (museumplein) in 43 minutes. From Oude Meer, the Amsterdam Area can be easily accessed by car. We are close to the main highways. Amsterdam is a 10-15 minutes drive and we can help you find a cheap parking spot. You can also explore the area on the water. Motor Boats are available for rent and upon request we can arrange that for you.
