Lauriston Homestead resides in the wild foothills of the South Arm Peninsula, neighbouring one of the state's finest olive groves. Built in 1904, Lauriston has been restored to reflect the property's heritage and highlight the surrounding nature. Half an hour drive from Hobart Airport, but remote enough to feel removed from the hustle and bustle. Spend a short or long stay strolling the beach tracks, lapping up the sun or curling up with a book in many of the sun-kissed nooks. The gracefully restored farmhouse accommodates small to large groups in spaces made for being close to nature, settling in, winding down and slowing time. With four large bedrooms, two bathrooms, an outdoor shower, open fire, fully equipped home-style kitchen and dining tables, you’ll feel right at home, away from home. The house has been appointed to highlight the best of Tasmania's landscapes, history, produce and people, with all of the comforts to make your stay unforgettable. There is ample parking on the property, and wonderful walks, shops, beaches and cafes at your doorstep or a short drive away There is a groundskeeper you will see on site but will be out of your way- he can help with anything you need though :) The hosts stay in a nearby dwelling incrementally and can be there on request All the charm of regional Tasmania just a short drive from the city and airport. A pick of some of Tasmania’s most beautiful beaches walking distance away- perfect for surfing/diving/fishing/strolling. It’s a foragers and beachcombers paradise, totally private for wind down but with a lovely small community. Most things are accessible and safe for walking/bikes, although if you want to drive around to explore there are plenty of spots to park. Additional catering, drinks, stocked larders and event bookings are available- contact your hosts directly for more information
