Lovely double room, own bathroom & conservatory
Situated conveniently near the station for easy access to London, Southend-on-Sea and London Southend Airport (10 minutes by train!). With ample parking for cars, this spacious and modern double bedroom is in a lovely 1930's house, located in a popular area, only 2 minutes walk to the high street, with many facilities including restaurants, shops, banks and pubs. This pretty downstairs bedroom has its own toilet, shower and sink, with warm towels from the newly installed heated towel rail. There is a wardrobe with hanging and drawer space and a hat/coat stand on the wall with handy hooks. I have set up a hair dryer in the room, along with his and hers cosy robes, which are free to use whilst staying. Of course, I always ensure the whole area is clean and tidy for my guests. The room is adjacent to our spacious and comfortable conservatory, where you can relax in your own sitting out area, with a large smart tv with Amazon Firestick and access to Netflix, Disney, Amazon Prime, etc., The bedroom has charging portals for your mobile/laptop etc. You are welcome to use the kitchen at any time for tea and coffee, or I can show you how to use the microwave/oven if you want to heat something up. In the nice weather, do sit out in the garden. We are in an ideal location, as detailed above, with many returning guests. I hope you will agree that our Airbnb is comfortable, clean, spacious and probably includes more little touches than your average booking. I have tried to include quite high end toiletries, towels and other extra's such as takeaway menu's, dressing gowns, umbrella's for guest use and more. We are knowledgeable locals and here to make your stay a lovely one. I am very happy to give you some fridge/freezer space if needed and of course you can access the kitchen for tea/coffee or the microwave, any time and eat at the table, should you wish I can also set up the ironing board for you, if needed. I will make every effort to be here to welcome you personally to our home when you arrive. If not, I will make sure you are aware of other arrangements (but that hasn't happened yet!) I will give you details of all the nearby restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and shops you may need and am always available if you need anything. I have lived in Rayleigh a long time, so I'm a fairly knowledgeable local! A nice neighbourhood, there is an interesting 'round' Dutch cottage a few doors up, that has bookable public viewings, every Wednesday. We also have a National Trust area called The Mount, which was the site of an original Norman castle and can be accessed very easily. Rayleigh itself was mentioned in The Doomsday Book, so it has very old roots, but is now a thriving modern little town! Our house stands where once they kept the dogs for the Rayleigh Hunting events. We also have a very old apple tree in the garden, that was part of the original orchards, that covered this area. The high street - 2 minutes away - has all the amenities you may need. It is also home to a new Rayleigh Museum and I am very fond of the M&S Foodhall! Two minutes the other way, down hill, will take you to the train and bus stations. We are very lucky to be only minutes away from the very popular London Southend Airport. The train takes you straight there and the airport is gradually adding many exciting destinations to fly to. We have used it many times. There is very easy access to the bus and train station with regular trains to London, London Southend Airport (as already mentioned) and Southend -on-Sea. Getting about by foot locally is the best bet and we have a large drive with ample parking space for several cars. You will come across my two friendly dogs, but they are not allowed into the bedroom and are quite used to guests, so probably won't bother you too much after, an initial quick hello! My drive is very steep, but has plenty of parking space.
