One Bedroom Flat in Perfect Southside Location
A bright and cozy one bedroom apartment in Glasgow's Southside which offers fantastic links to the City Centre, Hampden Park, the West End and of course our own great local Southside amenities. Fully equipped, an open kitchen to the living room/ shower room/wc. Perfect for couples or singles. It is located on the ground floor in Glasgow's residential, but bustling Southside. The main train line to Glasgow centre is less than a 5 minute walk (13 min Journey time). A bright, characterful tenement apartment nestled in the Southside. A comfortable lounge offers great light by day and a cozy, comfortable space to curl up of an evening. A small yet perfectly formed kitchen boasts a great oven and everything you need to hone those Masterchef skills. The bedroom looks out over the shared back garden - perfect for those quiet long lie-ins. The apartment is accessed through a traditional (intercom/key) tenement 'close'. The apartment is ground floor although there are 3 steps up to the 'close' itself and, as is the norm with these flats, the bathroom is rather narrow so wheelchair users may find that problematic depending on mobility. As Southsider's ourselves we are near enough to be on-hand if needed but far enough away to give you a peaceful break. We are also on hand to give you information and advice on everything from sights to see, places to eat, and new stuff to explore. The Southside of Glasgow offers entertainment, culture and a great residential environment to all types of people. The postcode for this flat actually came top of the 'most desirable place in Glasgow to live'. Nearby you have the bustling hub of Shawlands, Pollok Park & The Burrel Collection, Golf courses, expansive parks and great local bars and restaurants. Within a 5 minute walk you can be on a train to the heart of Glasgow city centre (12 mins journey time) - seen by many as the best shopping and entertainment centre outside of London. If you end up further afield in the bars and restaurants the West End, don't worry. At evenings end you can just jump on public transport (4 bus) which drops you back about 20 feet from your front door. Note: I think we've made it pretty clear from all the descriptions so far, but oddly we've had guests (2) who have been a bit disappointed that the flat isn't in the centre of town. This is the Southside of Glasgow - 10-15 mins on the train to the centre. There is on-street parking. Cathcart train station is under 5 mins walk (13min journey to Glasgow Central) Mount Florida train station is under 10 mins walk (10min journey to Glasgow Central) 4 Bus (to/from Glasgow West End) is right outside the flat. Taxi and Uber are abundant and cheap. Bars and restaurants are peppered nearby, many an easy stroll from the flat. The apartment does not have satellite television, although the TV system is connected via the internet so that you can watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, Catchup etc.
