The Station House

The Station House consists of three apartments tastefully converted from the original police station. The apartment has it's own bathroom, kitchenette, comfortable queen bed, fast Wi-Fi and breakfast supplies. Evenings can be spent on the attached private deck viewing Mt Roland. You are very close ( an easy walk) to the shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs and the outdoor art gallery. Great location for Cradle Mountain, the Spirit of Tasmania and as a base to explore the north of Tasmania. The station house in Sheffield is a beautiful space in a stunning location overlooking the impressive Mount Roland. The apartment is very modern, clean and comfortable. It has a kitchenette with a microwave but not set up for full cooking as there is no cooker. There are restaurants, a pub, take away and supermarket in Sheffield for dining in the evening. There are also a number of BBQ facilities in the park very close by and next to the outdoor gallery as an option. Breakfast supplies are provided. Guests have access to the whole apartment with a private entrance having a lovely large attached deck the has stunning views of Mount Roland. The Queen size bed is very comfortable. There is a separate, modern bathroom, with its own bathtub. A modern kitchenette and large breakfast bar, as well as a comfortable sitting area. This has a microwave and preparation area but no cook top. We have a very convenient self check in system, but we are also available to assist guests and offer informative local advice on what to do and where to explore in the area. Your apartment is fully private and has it's own entrance and parking. The Station House is located at 88 High Street and a few minutes from the cafes, restaurants and pub in the centre of Sheffield. There are a full range of walks from long to short. Sheffield has an outdoor art gallery and makes for a very pleasant afternoon and evening walk. Cradle Mountain is 40 minutes drive. Devonport where you catch the Spirit of Tasmania is 25 minutes. Sheffield is served by bus from Devonport. The bus stop is close to The Station House and is the end of the route so very easy to manage. If driving The Station House is very easy to find and very close to the centre of Sheffield. I can provide transport if needed for a small charge and includes transfers and even trips to Cradle Mountain if you have no car. Please do ask me about that. Check in is self service and very easy. We are here if needed and always very happy to meet you. We provide a contact number so very easy to reach us at any time. We are very popular with guests visiting Cradle Mountain and those staying with us on the first or last night if using the Spirit of Tasmania. We also run a tour company called eGuide and can provide tours and transfers if you need.
