A cosy garden cottage, with separate entrance, private bathroom, bed nook, kitchen and shared garden. A peaceful space to work from home or explore south Manchester and the city. The cottage has a full sized double bed with lots of pillows and a comfy duvet and electric blanket. A large sofa by the fire easily accommodates an extra body and we have a delux air bed which sleeps 2 (It’s quite a small place for 4 adults with bags though). Compact and modern, the cottage has everything you need for a safe and comfy stay in Altrincham. One thing you won't need is a car, we can easily walk into town and the station, supermarket, cinema, parks, bars and restaurants are on our doorstep. Safe kerbside parking is available for £1.50 per day. Your hosts are available any time you need us, but happy to leave you to enjoy the space in peace if you prefer. The cottage is at the bottom of our garden, and access is via the garden gate rather than the house so you can come and go as you please. We hope you'll also enjoy sharing the outside space in good weather. Michael and I work from home so are nearly always available to answer your questions in person, otherwise feel free to call or text. Altrincham offers something lovely for everyone. Fabulous Victorian and Edwardian homes dating back to Manchester's cotton era, dominate most of the residential areas, which makes wandering the streets a real pleasure for anyone with an interest in domestic architecture and social history. Foodies love our range of independent restaurants and bars, especially the famously atmospheric Altrincham Market where stall holders serve street food of every description, families dine together at shared tables and the buzz is consistently upbeat. In town you'll find dozens of classy boutiques and market stalls each bidding to delight shoppers with unique little somethings, but if you need even more choice, just lace up your shopping shoes and take a short drive to the city or the Trafford centre to browse the best of big name shopping. Live music features in lot's of local venues but we're also handy for some of the North West's favourite theatres, arena, TV studios and concert halls - which explains why we also attract a fair number of celebrity spotters. Travellers can hit the motorways, airport and train network within a few minutes and Manchester City centre, two outstanding football stadia, media city and a famous cricket ground all fall within a very comfortable commuting distance. Finally, with beautiful Dunham Massey, Tatton Park and Styal Mill on the doorstep we're never far from a relaxing walk or bike ride through the gorgeous Cheshire Landscape. Once back at Orchard Road, you'll find that the local convenience store is 2 minutes walk from our little house. We're only 5 minutes from the train/metro station, cinema and supermarket. A 10 minute stroll takes you to Altrincham town centre. It's 15 minutes by car to the airport/20 minutes to Manchester city centre. We're also just about 10 minutes from the Main motorway network. You chose ... our home is close to the town centre so ideal for park and walk. We recommend the metro for a fast easy commute into Manchester or further afield but we're just a short drive from the motorway network for anyone on the move. We share our home with a good natured little dog. You'll need to make sure the garden gate is locked when you come and go:) Our home is on a residential cul de sac. Parking is restricted but we provide visitor permits at a daily rate of £1.50.
