Plas Huan, cosy cottage with outstanding views.
This simple, clean and cosy cottage is the perfect hide away from modern life, situated at the end of a private lane and five minutes' walk to the pristine Welsh coast. This pet friendly cottage enjoys exceptional views to Snowdonia, the Llyn Peninsula, the South Stack and Holyhead Mountain and occupies one of Rhoscolyn’s most outstanding locations. Only a short walk to both one of Anglesey's finest beaches and to The White Eagle, an excellent gastro-pub. Plas Huan is a traditional cottage with comfortable furnishings and an emphasis on a cosy interior whilst being able to enjoy almost 360 degree views of the surroundings. The views change by the hour and are spectacular on even the greyest of days. Plas Huan is situated right on the coastal path and is an ideal spot for those who enjoy walking. The space is perfect for a family or for a romantic getaway. Our guests have the whole property to themselves, including sizeable front and back gardens. The cottage can be accessed from the front but there are french doors to the rear of the property for easy access to the back garden. There is parking for two cars along the side of the property and if necessary, cars can also be parked on the lawn with access through the main gate. We live in the Midlands but I have holidayed in Anglesey for my entire life (my Mum was born in Trearddur Bay). My husband and I come back to Rhoscolyn with our children as often as possible - for all of the school holidays and for at least a month every summer. We have a fantastic cleaner who looks after the property for us and a brilliant ‘handyman’ who is happy to attend to any problems at very short notice. Details for Jackie and Steve can be found in the cottage. Guests can contact me through Airbnb or on my mobile phone - again, details can be found in the cottage. With a cottage in such a stunning location, it would be easy to spend your entire stay in the Rhoscolyn area, enjoying the wonderful walks and the local amenities. However, it is worth venturing further afield as there is so much to see and do on the island. Enjoy the spectacular bird life and breathtaking views from Elin’s Tower or take a walk up to the South Stack Lighthouse. Holyhead offers great supermarket options as well as a cinema, leisure centre and some lovely shops and cafes around the harbour (Website hidden by Airbnb) a little further afield to Menai and Beaumaris to enjoy a some culture with some superb galleries as well as antique shops and lovely cafes, restaurants and shops. Plas Huan is a perfect, peaceful retreat from which to enjoy all that Anglesey has to offer. A car would certainly help if you wanted to see a little more of the island, but it is perfectly possible to arrive by train into Holyhead or Valley and to get a taxi to Plas Huan. With the White Eagle pub less than a ten minute walk away and less than a half an hour walk to all the amenities offered by Trearddur Bay, it would not be difficult to survive without a car. Tesco, Asda and Morrison’s are all located in Holyhead and offer a delivery service to the Rhoscolyn area. The water is heated by the Rayburn which also serves as an oven alongside the microwave and the electric hob. You will need to turn the Rayburn up to 5 for cooking purposes but please remember to turn it back down to 2 after you have finished cooking. Failure to do this will cause the water to boil and a a lot of noise in the pipes! We only have a waste collection every three weeks, so please RECYCLE as much as you possibly can - the boxes are near to the large bin at the front of the property. PETS. Please don't leave your pets alone in the cottage for long stretches of time, and please clean up after them outside. Make sure that all dog mess is cleared up before you leave the property. Please don't allow pets upstairs or on the furniture. If you have time, please strip the beds ready for Jackie the cleaner - please leave the under-cases on the pillows.
