LOCATION/SURROUNDINGS: Our charming holiday house is located in the heart of Portugal – exactly halfway between Lisbon and Porto. You can reach the center of both cities easily within an hour and a half. Besides the must-do day trips to Lisbon (150 km) and Porto (150 km), our holiday house is surrounded by a number of enjoyable activities: A short hop away are the popular coast villages of Figueira da Foz (30 km), Nazaré (40 km), São Pedro de Moel (50 km), "Praia do Pedrogão" (17 km). You can get to one of my favourite beaches, “Praia do Osso da Baleia” (translated “beach of the bone of a whale”), within 25-30 min by car. Other cultural highlights within easy reach are the cities of Aveiro, “the Venice of Portugal”, Batalha (a designated World Cultural Heritage city with its breathtaking monastery), Coimbra (the first capital city of Portugal, today one of the oldest university cities of Europe), Santuário de Fátima (unique and world famous pilgrimage destination), Alcobaça (also distinguished by the UNESCO amongst others known for the historic love drama of D. Pedro I and D. Inês de Castro), Tomar (Portuguese city of the Knights Templar, another designated World Cultural Heritage city). You can discover some of Portugal's most important cultural heritage in less than an hour. ACCOMMODATION: Our cosy vacation house provides an exclusive atmosphere, guaranteeing you the perfect environment for pure relaxation. The house is surrounded by an admirable, spacious garden with fruit trees, flowers and plants allowing you to reconnect with nature. The house features a swimming pool exclusively for you. The pool is perfect for early morning and cooling afternoon dips. WHAT ABOUT THE PLACE ITSELF: The vacation house consists of a master bedroom with a double bed, a modern bathroom with a shower and a living room combined with a kitchen. You can keep in touch with some of your favorite television shows with our international satellite channels. A stereo is also included in case you feel the need to dance or turn up a recording of Portugese "fado" music. From its location in the golden middle of Portugal, our cosy holiday house provides you easy access to the best sights and cultural destinations in country. No matter what your taste, you'll be able to choose from a broad "à la carte" menu to make your vacation perfect.
