Greencourt Loft, Cotswold Way, Middleyard
Greencourt Loft is a self contained, comfortable and luxurious coach house room situated in the beautiful and quiet village of Middleyard, on the edge of the Cotswold Escarpment in-between Stroud and Stonehouse. Just a few miles from J13 of the M5, we are in an area of outstanding natural beauty with access to open common land and ancient woodland, where mountains bikers, runners walkers and horse riders can all enjoy outdoor activities. The famous Cotswold Way runs close to the property. This coach house room was hand built, decorated and maintained by your hosts Sara & Jamie. We designed it to maximise the morning and evening sun taking in the stunning views of the Cotswold Escarpment to the front, and across the river Severn to the Welsh Hills at the back where you can watch the setting sun from the small balcony. We have taken great care to consider what makes a guest feel special with luxurious, cotton bed-linen to soften the rustic charm of the room, local/organic produce (where possible) for a simple and delicious breakfast and warm underfloor heating in the wet room. We know how we like to be treated when we are travelling and enjoy passing this on to our guests. The property sits next to a direct access to wide open fields and a stream at the rear where a myriad of local footpaths connect to the Cotswold Way. Often Walkers along the Cotswold Way travel in groups and need larger accommodation than we can provide, however, there are a handful of similar sized AirBandB properties very near by and within walking distance so larger groups may be accommodated over several locations. Please ask for details/recommendations. Additional bed/futon is available on request but please note...guests not sharing the double bed and requiring a separate bed will be charged and additional £10. There is no provision on the Airbnb platform to facilitate this charge so this can be settled at check-in. Please message this requirement when booking. Guests have access to a kitchenette with toaster, kettle, fridge and microwave. Breakfast (cereals, bread, jam, tea, coffee and hot chocolate) will be provided. Often guests require separate beds which can be arranged for an additional £10 cleaning fee for the extra linen. Please note this requirement when booking. Clothes washing facilities are offered in the main house utility room and can be dried overnight. An additional charge of £5 per wash applies. Your host will provide you with a key to access the washroom or service your wash for you if she's available. I am happy to leave you to your own devises so that you can have maximum privacy, or be on hand to enlighten you about the local area and facilities. Greencourt Loft is situated at the end of a no through road. The back of the property backs onto open fields where many footpaths cross and can give you access to the village or the Cotswold way. Middleyard is about a mile from Kings Stanley where there is a well stocked Co-Op, Takeaway, hairdressers and beauty salon. Guests arriving by train to nearby Stonehouse, Stroud or Cam and Dursley stations can be collected by arrangement. Mostly walkers and cyclists visit the area. Undercover car parking is offered on the property. There is a local bus service and the nearest train stations are less than 4 miles away. Guests not sharing the double bed and requiring a separate bed will be charged and additional £10 per stay. Access to the loft is via an outdoor staircase. There is unfortunately no provision for disabled access. There is a small balcony where you can sit, relax and watch the sun set. You may have access to the main gardens also, shared with our family. Well behaved dogs are permitted and can play outside with our own very friendly pooch! However due to previous guests not observing the house rules with pets, I will require a £20 additional cleaning/damage deposit for pets. This can be exchanged in cash or by card on arrival and will be refunded at departure once the room has been checked. We do request that dogs sleep in the bed provided, and not on the furniture, and that their paws are wiped before entering the Loft. Boot, bike and dog washing facilities are provided by way of an outdoor tap/hose pipe.
