This ground floor apartment has its own keyed access and is locked off from the remainder of our house. It has a spacious living room, kitchenette, separate bedroom and bathroom. The landscaped patio around the fish pond has your own weber barbecue & outdoor furniture to relax with a cool drink in the evenings. The kitchenette allows you to do all your own cooking with a microwave, small oven and cook tops, electric frypan, large fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, and fully set up with crockery, cutlery. The living room has 2 super comfy leather lounges under the ceiling fan, a large flatscreen TV, large dining table & 2 chairs. We know how much everyone needs a good night's sleep when travelling. The large bedroom's queen sized bed with luxurious pillow top mattress, choice of pillows and quality linen ensures that you'll be punching out the ZZZs in no time, and waking up refreshed. Open the windows to let the cooling sea breeze in or the ceiling fan is refreshing too! The bathroom has a large shower, heat lamp and a washing machine with detergent/pegs & clothes rack for drying or welcome to use our clothes line in backyard too! Please be aware that the apartment is not fenced from the street and we have a small fish pond off the guests patio & BBQ area. So, we are sorry but, no pets or children pls. Corindi Beach provides a great coastal village lifestyle whether for simply enjoying kilometres of unspoilt beach or as a great base to explore all the activities and diversity that the Coffs Coast, it's hinterland & the Clarence Valley offer. The beach and headland are great for walks, surfing, swimming, beach fishing, snorkelling and diving round the reef while the headland provides a great vantage spot for whale watching (May-November). It is a quiet and safe village that you may share with the local kangaroos. The village has everything you need for your stay, all within walking distance from the Apartment. No need for the car at all! The Amble Inn with its bar,bistro,bottleshop & open fire, (2 min walk up the road) "The Shop" - General Store has basic provisions and great takeaway meals. Live Happy Pharmacy is opened 6 days. Closed Sundays. Corindi Beach Post Office & Gift Shop. Has lovely local gifts/souvenirs. Rafa's Café for coffee and meals. Corindi Beach provides a great base from which to explore the amazing diversity of the Coffs Coast area - any number of beaches including Moonee Beach (recently voted Australia's third best beach), back dropped by mountains and rainforests. Red Rock, our sister village just a few km to the north at the mouth of the Corindi River, is perfect for spending the day picnicking under the shade of trees next to the River, or swimming, canoeing, SUP (all for hire form the Red Rock Shop) and Little Beach is just gorgeous! Stop off at the Yarrawarra Aboriginal Gallery and Cafe on the way for modern bush tucker. And the Clarence Valley with its Jacaranda City, Grafton, historic River villages and the seafood/surfing capital of Yamba, is on our doorstep to the north. There's many scenic drives through the local Aussie bush and numerous villages each with their own character, ranging from an hour or two or a full day - we can help you plan, just ask us. A two hour round trip to the villages of Glenreagh and Coramba, a half day to gracious Grafton with its tree lined streets. Jacaranda Festival Oct - Nov. Home of country horse racing with its July Cup Carnival. Beautiful Historic architecture, country pub lunches or enjoy the seafood from the mighty Clarence River. A full day trip via the Waterfall Way to the Dorrigo Plateau and the art/craft centre of Bellingen are favourites. We can provide advice and maps to help you plan your days. If you're into all things crafty and local, there's markets somewhere every weekend with the Bellingen Markets, Woolgoolga's Bollywood market and the Coffs Jetty markets the pick. Woolgoolga is the centre of Australia's Indian Sikh culture & community just ten minutes down the road with its temple on the hill. There's great boutique shopping by the beach, a growing cafe culture, two Clubs, a pub and supermarket. Conveniently located just one minute off the Highway (A1) north of the Woolgoolga bypass, Corindi Beach is 560 km north of Sydney (6 ½ hour drive) and 360km south of Brisbane (4 hours). Byron Bay is just a short 2 ½ hours away, Yamba just over an hour. Coach from Sydney or Brisbane stops at Woolgoolga (Pick up & drop offs available ). Yarrawarra Cultural Centre showcasing Aboriginal Art & Culture of Northern NSW - Workshops & Gallery. Bush Tucker Cafe. Try a Kangaroo Pie! You will find this around the corner on Red Rock Rd. Scuba Diving the amazing Solitary Islands Marine Park with Mullaway's Dive Quest Walking along the beautiful beaches & headlands of the Coffs Coastal Walks is truly spectacular! Or, the Yuragir National Parks walking track through bush & beach for the true Aussie experience. Transfers may be available for a fee. Enquire on booking please. If you're after a bit more action and adventure, there's multiple surf breaks including the renown Arrawarra Headland point break, surf schools, boat launching for ocean fishing are all within a few minutes drive. Coffs Harbour with its extensive retail therapy is only twenty minutes to the south and is the base for whale watching and fishing charter boat trips, sky diving and white water rafting. If you're into golf, Safety Beach golf club, just 5 kilometres away, offers 18 challenging holes where water comes into play on 14 holes, and where the only competition for a tee time is with the kangaroos. Coffs Harbour (27 holes), Sawtell, Bonville International and Grafton are all challenging layouts within an easy 40 minute drive. Half & Full Day Drives to explore the beautiful Coffs Coast & it's Hinterland villages. Or, head 40 minutes north & you are in the Clarence Valley with its mountain ranges, fertile grazing lands, mighty Clarence River leading to the seaside towns of Yamba & Iluka. We are so lucky!
