Located in the center of the quaint historical village of Guéméne sur scorff, this beautiful 17thC guest house has been restored with huge amounts of dedication. Above our very own bistro/restaurant, Aux Sabots Rouges, we offer 5 charming bedrooms that have been specifically designed, styled and decorated by us with luxury and comfort as a priority. This the perfect getaway to enjoy the option of being close to amenities & with plenty of options to explore the countryside & coast. Our super comfortable guest rooms have been specifically styled and decorated by us, with luxury and comfort as a priority. Each room is equipped with its own en-suite/bathroom with private toilet, LED flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi connection, a bed of 180cm x 200cm, coffee and tea making facilities. At an extra cost, guests have the choice of a continental breakfast for 7.50€ per person and includes fresh coffee from our restaurant. NOTE: Breakfast costs are not included in the room rental due to the variation in persons staying. Breakfast cost for the full length of stay will be decided on once you have booked, or at check in, and paid in full at check in. We receive cash or FRcheque at the property. On request, we offer special luxury hampers for those special occasions, including, flowers, champagne and chocolates set up in your room for arrival. Please enquire with us after booking. We have our own private yoga studio where we offer a timetable of drop-in yoga classes and private classes. In the evenings guest have the choice of 5 local bars, four local restaurants, including our very own Aux Sabots Rouges, which is located just down stairs. Perfect for an evening out with no taxis involved or having to designate a driver. There is the breakfast room located downstairs from your room, that guest are welcome to use at any time of day to relax, read, drink, and eat. When the restaurant is open, guest can access the courtyard, as well as the bar and the restaurant. Parking: Parking is free throughout the village, and there is plenty of parking options in the main street, or out the back of the village. Bikes: we have the option to store bikes in a private room We are available to share information and advice on the surrounding area. Centred in the main street, guest can access restaurants, bars, shops on foot. Guéméne is a pretty little village surrounded by wooded hillsides. Dating back to the 15th century with its historic monument and picturesque buildings it provides culture and interest to many visitors every year. Its most famous for its ‘Andouille’ and to celebrate, there is a big Andouille festival at the end of August each year with wonderful Breton traditional costumes, music and dancing. The Scorff Valley is rich, with protected natural and historical heritage, & has 400km of marked trails to discover, running between woodland and river. There are a number of beautiful walks to the surrounding countryside right from the doorstep. The beautiful beaches along the south Brittany coastline are only a 45minute drive away & the north coast is just over an hour away. Lac du Guerledan is only 30minutes up the road & offers an array of activity from water sports, bike riding to magnificent walks. The impressive Abbey de Bon Repos with its lovely relaxing Sunday market is also just a 30 minutes drive. You do need your own transport. Guemene s/scorff is 45mins from the closest train station in Lorient; 1h45 mins to Rennes and Dinar airports; 1h45 mins to St Marlo ferry port. Buses are available from Lorient, Rennes and Pontivy- however are not so frequent.
