House with view over the St. Tomé pier.

The house is an old traditional, built in stone, sailor’s home from the sea front area of St. Tomé; located directly above the coast line with spectacular views over the “Ría de Arousa”. All rooms have windows to the outside including a balcony on the 1 floor, which can be accessed thru the main living room. An outdoor terrace with a large table which allows one to enjoy the beautiful sun set over the bay or simply to enjoy the fresh sea breeze. The house is located in the historic neighbourhood of Saint Tomé, a picturesque sailors and fishermen’s neighbourhood. A very calm and quiet neighbourhood which is carved in between the rocks and stones of the coast line. Turning the corner of the house you can enjoy the view of the small island of “A Figueira”, on which lies the ruins of an old medieval fortress. Now only the main watch tower is still intact and remains, being that the “Torre de San Sadurniño). The island “A Figueira” is connected to the St.Tomé and the “Villa Vella” neighbourhoods by a long and narrow foot bridge. Here you also can find the beach “Playa de la Mouta”, on which, at low tide, one can observe hundreds of shell fishers at work. The house has two main doors (front and back). After a small entry hall you have the dining room with an access to a lovely wooden kitchen, fully equipped. The house offers three complete bathrooms, five bedrooms (one with double bunk, the rest with double beds), and the main living room which gives way to the balcony. Historic sailors neighbourhood, with its roads made from in granitic rocks, traditional from that time. Surrounded by the sea, it is a very calm and nice neighbourhood. Cambados, in the center of the Salnés, allows one to reach Vigo ou Santiago de Compostela (main galician cities) in less than one hour by car. Besides this, due to the central location of the house, one may enjoy all that Cambados has to offers without the need for a car.
