This large secluded house is a great place to get away from it all. The views from the balcony of this green valley are breathtaking! Enjoy dinner under the pergola or explore the garden surrounded by the area's well-known palm trees. And in only 25 minutes you can reach Locarno! The house is accessible on foot from the main road, but it is set back from the road to allow a large degree of privacy and tranquility. The house has two double rooms, a room with double bed and bunk bed (kids' mattresses), and a single room. There is a large balcony, pergola, and garden. The house is recommended for a maximum of 7 adults. Guests have access to the entire house and garden. I'll be available every by phone or e-mail and will meet you for check-in and check-out. The village of Loco is the biggest in the beautiful Onsernone Valley and contains a resteaurant, bar, grocery store, post office, ATM, and even a cool history museum! And less than 5 minutes walking from the house is a secluded swimming spot in a refreshing mountain stream! Plus dozens of hikes for all levels are available in every direction. There is a bus station called Loco Paese 2 minutes' walking distance away. The house has 1 dedicated parking space, next to the stone wall; all other spots are reserved for neighbors and should not be used even for a few minutes. Additional cars can be parked on the road for free only 1 minute away by foot. Driving in Onsernone Due to our unique road, driving in our valley involves some rules and habits that you may be unfamiliar with. In order to ensure your safety, we suggest you read the following information. There is nowhere to overtake a car. Therefore, if you have a car behind you, please quickly put your blinker on and pull over so that it can pass you. Locals drive much more quickly and they will greatly appreciate the gesture from tourists! You will be safe if you stay as far to the right as possible on every turn. Be careful of cyclists cutting turns! You may park anywhere as long as: -You do not block the buses and trucks. If a vehicle’s route is blocked, you will hear their horn sound repeatedly as they wait for the vehicle owner to move. -You do not block vision on turns -You do not park in places with signs saying they are private or that parking is not allowed -If in doubt, ask a local You will often need to wait for a car to pass in the opposite direction, or for another car to back up, or you may need to back up yourself. Die Einheimischen gelangen so rechtzeitig zur Arbeit und werden Ihre Geste sehr zu schätzen wissen! Halten Sie sich in jeder Kurve so weit wie möglich am rechten Strassenrand. Achten Sie auf entgegenkommende Radfahrer; sie könnten gerade die Kurve schneiden! Sie können im Tal überall parken, solange Sie einige Regeln einhalten: -Ihr Fahrzeug darf Busse und breite Lastwagen nicht in der Durchfahrt behindern. -Wenn die Strasse blockiert ist, hören Sie wiederholt die Lastwagen-Hupe; der Falsch-Parker wird damit aufgefordert die Durchfahrt sofort zu ermöglichen! -In den Kurven darf ihr Fahrzeug die Sicht nach vorne nicht behindern, parken sie nie innerhalb einer Kurve. -Parkieren Sie nicht an Orten die mit Privat-Schildern gekennzeichnet sind oder wo das Parkieren allgemein verboten ist. -Im Zweifelsfall fragen Sie einen Einheimischen.
