Due to the ceiling spanning two floors, the ambience is excellent, feeling vast, yet cosy at the same time due to our sensitive restoration and choice of furnishings and accessories. There is a lovely cwtchy sofa for relaxing on and views over the high street. Our en-suite boasts a luxurious walk-in rain shower. There is easy parking very nearby or on the street overnight ~ or you may take the train and arrive by bus or taxi from Abergavenny, 10 minutes away. The name Crickhowell is taken from a nearby Iron Age Fort which was named Crug Hywel. Within the town there is a historic bridge dating back to the 17th Century, a 14th Century church and ruins of Crickhowell Castle which is set just off the A40 towards Abergavenny. There is a local train station and taxi rank in nearby Abergavenny. There is free overnight on street parking in front of MAISON50.
