The Houseboat @ The Cottages on Petite Lake

*We are in nature. Expect spiders, webs, ants, bees, mosquitoes or other usual lake house critters. You'll see lots of chipmunks, squirrels and bunnies around and wake up to the birds chirping, too! *The beach is accessed by a large set of outdoor stairs- about 35. See photos for reference. *There are security cameras on the parking lot, beach and piers for safety and rental boat purposes. No cameras are on/in any of the rental units or outdoor yard spaces. *The pier is made up of floating docks and can be wobbly when the lake is busy. The lake is very busy on the weekends and more calm on weekdays. *This is a no pets property. Any reviews that reference pets are for a property we no longer rent. Owners David and Jessica, along with several staff members, are around the property every day working on ways to improve ambiance and provide a comfortable stay. Guest interaction can be as frequent or minimal as you make it! We can be contacted through the app or called/texted directly at any time. Phone numbers are provided upon arrival. We greet all guests personally and give a brief tour of the property and amenities. We look forward to meeting and sharing our passion with you! The Chain O'Lakes is in northeast Illinois and is composed of 15 lakes connected by the Fox River and man-made channels. Encompassing more than 7,100 acres of water, 488 miles of shoreline and 45 miles of river, the Chain is a recreational waterway offering fun for everyone. Located on the border of Lake County and McHenry County, the area is about an hour's drive from the cities of Chicago, Milwaukee, and Rockford. Additionally, the Chain O'Lakes includes the beautiful Chain O'Lakes State Park which borders three lakes.
