Eat the fruits of our kitchen garden and be lulled off to sleep by the soft, gentle sea breezes as you relax with a good book on the wide verandas. The Hinterland at its best. With a casual boho and classic "Byron" feel, this house has been impeccably restored to pay homage to the beautiful original features of the house. Traditional french doors open onto wide verandas, vj paneled walls and ceilings throughout, original fretwork and 100 year old floors all combine with effortlessly sophisticated bathrooms and kitchens to create a one of a kind property. Set on just over an acre, there is plenty of space for kids to run around, engage in imaginative play or even play a game of footy or cricket. Small children should be supervised at all times though, as there are several retaining walls with drops of close to 1 meter on parts of the property. Our guests will have full access to the property and home. Our professional co-host is only a phone call and short drive away should any issues arise during your stay. The Plot is just that...a small plot of land, but its landscape is anything but small with a view to the East over the rolling hills of Brooklet and Newrybar. A short 2 minute walk from the front gate is the Skinners Creek swimming hole and for those who love their early morning walk - wander the country lanes for a 35min walk (3 minute drive) into Newrybar for your morning coffee at the well known Harvest Deli. Less than 3 minutes drive (or again a lovely walk) to the amazing Gaia Day Spa and just 5 minutes drive into Bangalow with its great pub, restaurants and artisan stores not to mention its famous markets. Just over 10 minutes drive to the Broken Head surf breaks and 20 minutes drive into the heart of Byron Bay, Lennox Head or Ballina Airport. A short drive up our road you will find the stunning Killen Falls. Perfectly positioned to explore the very best of Byron Bay and its stunning hinterland. Given our hinterland location it is best to have a vehicle when staying at The Plot. There is a storage shed onsite which is not for use by guests.
