Retro Ridge - guest suite with 2 rooms

Enjoy your stay in a seperate, secure and self contained suite with your own private access. Furnished in the retro era, the snug TV room features a 3 seater couch with a smart TV (including wifi & NETFLIX access) and fridge/freezer. Both cosy bedrooms offer queen beds, built in robes and air conditioning. Feel nostalgic in the original green bathroom, while the retro green toilet is separate. Basic kitchenette is provided. Relax in the cactus garden - your private outdoor area. The suite is in our house but is separated by a locked door and has its own private entry. The entry is via a path along the cactus garden at the back of the house. The TV room suits two guest comfortably, four guests would be a squeeze. Our house was built in 1975 & contains the original green bathroom, seperate green toilet with original green & white mottled tiles. Most of the light fittings are original and so are all the cupboard doors. The rooms are small as of the era. To celebrate these features we have complimented the suite with retro furnishings. The path leading to the entrance is via a cactus garden. The cactus garden is private and has an outdoor seating you are welcome to use. There is a fire pit in the space, please do not leave flames unattended and ensure the fire is out when finished using it. Retro Ridge is a private area but if you do need anything I am usually in the studio also on the property. We have two friendly one year old dogs living in our part of the house and you may come across them if you are enjoying the backyard. Middle Ridge is a very safe neighbourhood with quick access to the CBD by car. Very close to three shopping centres, food outlets and all conveniences. Gabbinbar Homestead is at the end of the street making walking an easy option. In the opposite direction, the University of Southern Queensland is only a 5 minute drive down the road containing the splendid Japanese Gardens. Preston Peak Winery & Function Centre is only an 8 minute drive. We do have the essentials - kettle, toaster, microwave, electric frypan, sandwich grill, crockery and cutlery.
