Le Laurier offers extremely comfortable accommodation for two people, from the king size bed to the welcoming squishy sofas and the cool airy kitchen/diner. The breakfast terrace catches the morning sunshine. Choose between the pretty garden or the large covered terrace for lunch, an afternoon snooze or candlelit supper. The area is ideal for walking, with well-marked paths for all levels within striking distance of the house. Le Laurier is situated in the heart of the Diege valley in the Midi Pyrenees region of south west France surrounded by farms, rivers and dense woodland, an area ideal for walking, bird-watching and star-gazing. The mature garden is full of secret places to sit and relax, and guests are invited to help themselves to produce from the organic potager and tiny orchard. After a day of discovery - there are many medieval towns and villages, vineyards, markets and a stunning river-laced valley to explore - Le Laurier is the ideal place for a relaxing drink followed by a romantic dinner on the garden terrace. Alternatively, there are two excellent restaurants within a 10 minute drive. If you are looking for something special you will find it at Le Laurier. Le Laurier is a no smoking property. PLEASE NOTE THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY AS THE ACCOMMODATION IS SPREAD OVER 3 FLOORS, BATHROOM IS ON THE GROUND FLOOR. Guests have access to the garden and sole use of the covered terrace. Owners live across the courtyard from the gite and are available to give advice and make bookings if necessary. The village of Villeneuve d'Aveyron is just a 10 minute drive away and offers all amenities needed as well as two excellent restaurants and a brace of cafes. A car is essential as Le Laurier is a 10 minute drive from the nearest village. PLEASE NOTE THAT ELECTRIC CARS CAN BE CHARGED ON SITE FROM A DOMESTIC SOURCE. OWNERS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN CHARGING CABLE. PAYMENT FOR CHARGING MUST BE MADE IN CASH AT THE END OF THE STAY. *The accommodation is not suitable for those with limited mobility as the bathroom is on the ground floor, two flights of stairs from the mezzanine bedroom. *Broadcast television is not available. *Electric cars can be charged on site from a domestic source. Guests must provide their own charge cable and payment for this service to be made in cash at the end of the stay. *Owners live on site with their two well-behaved, terrier-cross dogs. *LE LAURIER IS STRICTLY A NO SMOKING PROPERTY. *Breakfast is not included, and during Covid 19 kitchen essentials - salt, pepper, oil etc - cannot be provided. And we cannot offer access to the washing machine which is located in the basement of the main house.
