2 lovely rooms in a spacious terraced house; sole use of entire top floor, including bedroom, dressing/sitting room, shower room/toilet, small landing. House consisting of three floors, shared use (with live-in owner) of facilities on ground floor: kitchen, dining room, living room, small conservatory, garden; period features, stylish/quirky decor Lovely, decked garden with view of local bowling green and club house. Very close to public transport and the amenities of the local village centre. Single female travellers preferred. Must like (or at least tolerate) felines (I live with two lovely cats). You have access to everything (except the rooms on the middle floor - which is mine!) We can have contact as much or as little as you like. Happy to help with advice on the area, have a chat over tea or prosecco (or even a meal together), but I live a very busy life and often have to work from home. I prefer people who are as independent as I am and am happy to give you as much privacy as you need (the top floor really is entirely yours and I will not intrude). Sheffield - a great place to visit! I never left once I got here (I am European and a German native speaker) - 25 years ago. I particularly like my neighbourhood: Nether Edge - it has its own quirky / bohemian feel. My house is close to local amenities: small village with supermarket, bakery, café, restaurant, flower shop, hairdresser, gift shop etc - 2 minutes' walk. Direct bus to city centre and theatres - 2 minutes' walk to bus stop; less than 15 minutes' journey into the centre with busses arriving in short, regular intervals Both Eccleshall Road (up-market boutiques and restaurants) and Abbeydale / London Road (ethnic cuisine, bohemian/vintage shops, antiques quarter) within walking distance. Bus stopping near my house really handy - regular, reliable and takes you right into the centre. From there - loads more opportunities to get out into neighbouring towns and villages and the open countryside. If you are coming by car, there is - limited - on-street parking, but please bear in mind it's a cul-de-sac with very little turning space; we generally back out of the street, not really a problem, unless you are a bit shaky on your wheels. Any questions? Just contact me and ask. I am flexible.
